Re: Try this rut formula this year ....
That's pretty interesting. Our rut here in Tennessee usually is in full swing around the 2 weeks surrounding thanksgiving.

Re: Hunting river bottoms
Those are pretty good ideas and a nice pic. You ought to make a rifle floatie to go along with the xbow floatie, maybe sell then as a Christmas package deal!

Re: Hunting river bottoms
Lots of sloughs where I hunt too. I look for good funnels, sometimes they use beaver dams as crossings. Just hunt the food and bottlenecks. What are some of the things you are using to notice the bottlenecks? I have watched the deer walk straight across the sloughs like it wasn't there. It's not li...

Re: Hunting river bottoms
The sloughs run through it like creeks, I have found a few well defined trails, and the white oaks have dropped so many acorns that you will just about roll your ankle walking in the woods.

Hunting river bottoms
I have just started hunting river bottoms, I have no experience in hunting this type of terrain. It is all hardwoods, no food plots. There are sloughs and cane thickets and the land is all flat. My question is how do you find a bedding area in such terrain? Every 50 yds or so is a thicket. There are...

Kinda silly question
When or what year did Excalibur start putting camo on the deck of the crossbows? My dad has an Equinox, his is camo with a silver deck and I have an Emax and it is all camo.

Re: Swhacked one!
Congrats on the deer, there's not a lot of meat there but it's the best meat there. That is the perfect deer for the freezer! So would you say the Swhacker performed as they claim? The reason for the question is that I bought some but I just haven't had he opportunity to put it to use.

Re: uncocking safety
I pretty much did the same thing except when I went to let the string down, the point of the Swhacker poked into the top of my boot but there was enough resistance to where it turned the lumenock on. When I saw the light come on I held the handle as tight as I could and reached down with my other ha...

Re: I have a question about shooting longer distances
When practicing with the Exomax this summer, I was shooting out to 60 yards on a regular basis. Thought " What the heck " and tried setting it up as per the following: http://gallery.fishbc.com/albums/Ironnoggin/Scope_Set_Up.jpg 20 through 50 are BANG-ON through the range. At 60, I found ...

Re: swhacker help...asap...please
When I went from field tips to the Swhackers I didn't have to do anything. Are you putting to much tape on them to keep them closed and weighing the arrow down much more that your field tips are you?

Re: I have a question about shooting longer distances
I wouldn't try it on a deer I was watching some totes in a food plot and they were 70 yds out and I was setting there looking through the scope and my 2 broken wheels in my head started spinning ( or probably wobbling) so I asked the question hoping someone would know. Just curious really.
