Re: Got some Taxidermy back today

Those are awesome!
That buck in the second picture is about the same size as a horse in Missouri.
Congrats!

Re: Duck Dynasty

Great show! This is about all I watch other than the outdoor channel.
I agree with some of the other fellas on here - don't know any other shows that show respect for the Lord and family.
When I watch this show, I am "Happy - Happy - Happy"!

Re: Wow! Thought I had Bad Day

Will be praying for you John. Getting older is the pits. Seems like my body hurts all the time and I too have issues with blood pressure. Am shooting a crossbow because I blacked out ( don't drink) and fell on my shoulder on concrete. I hate going to doctors, but I guess the good Lord put them here ...

Kudo's to Rhino Blind

Just wanted to let everyone know that I had an excellent experience with Rhino Groundblinds regarding customer service this morning. I bought a new Rhino blind about 2 weeks ago. Set it up several times. No problems. I decided to add a little extra waterproofing, which had to be heated with a hairdr...

Rinehart 18-1.
Broadheads (4 blade) will still take a chunk out now and then with the Nox.
I use one of those Yellow Jacket bags for field tips -

Ditto on the Gorilla Blue Top. Like VixenMaster says - it is best not to get it on your fingers. Nothing like carrying a carbon arrow around the house stuck to your fingers while your wife makes fun of ya.

Re: Slick Trick XBow broadheads

Hey Papa Bear and Cooter - The 175 Slicks worked just fine with my Firebolts. I just like to try new stuff once in a while, so I went with the Gold Tip IV Pro basically for the weight. I don't have any kind of scales, but I think with the GT and the 175's that I have an arrow somewhere around 550 gr...

Re: New to Excalibur crossbow hunting

Hi Mike - Welcome to the Forum and the sport. I will ditto what Awshucks said --- buy a bag target (Morrell $55) and get a Rinehart 18-1 (around $100). I also shoot an Equinox. I use Slick Trick 175 grain heads. When you buy the heads, you also get the field tips in the same package. You can shoot t...

Re: Montec G5 in 8 pts Skull! Pic's

What is scary is that some scumbag - with the intelligence of a rock - is out there in the woods with the rest of us!
Mighty fine animal to have to endure this kind of stupidity!
Nice job, Mike. Even though he was healing - he may have still been suffering.

Re: Slick Trick XBow broadheads

Sure nuff! Shooting 175 grain Slick Trick X bow heads out of my Equinox. Am using Gold Tip Pro IV's.
Large doe last week left blood trail for a blind man. Went about 30 to 40 yards and fell over dead.
They also include 175 grain field points in the package with the broadheads, which is nice.

Re: Need a little advice

Welcome to the Forum- I also am fairly new to this group. You will not find a better bunch of guys and gals anywhere. They are helpful and knowledgeable. I am shooting an Equinox with the firebolts. I use the Slick Trick 175 grain heads. Shot a doe first of the week at about 20 yards. Went through r...

Re: 10 pointer down

Beautiful buck, my friend! Congratulations. I love the dark racks. I chalked up a nice fat doe a couple mornings ago with the Equinox. Shooting the 175 grain Slick Tricks. Great blood trail and she fell in less than 40 yards. Again, way to go! That is a buck that anyone would be proud to put on the ...

Re: Can't wait!

Welcome - As stated by vixenmaster, the Equinox (at least mine did) do come with the dissipator bars and the S5 system. You will like the "nox". They are a beast and shoot with a ton of kinetic energy. Just don't do like this dumb old man did and shoot two arrows at the same spot. You will...
