Re: Hard Case for an Ibex?

I got a hard vertical bow case that I use. Once you take the limbs off, you can fit it in there perfectly and have room for quiver arrows tool box, etc. Mine has several places you can position the velcro straps, so I have both pieces strapped down as well so it isnt banging around loosely.

Re: Black Bear Sporting Goods

Thats where I bought my Ibex last year. They had the best price and I had it in hand in a couple days.

Have the S5 replacement pads been discontinued?

I recently saw some of these pads on sale and that prompted me to search the web to see if there were any even better prices anywhere. One of those other sites said that the item has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Is there a new version of pads for the S5 or something?

Re: some tests ive been running on the quieting the exomax.

I was disappointed in the S5. IMO not worth the money for sound reduction. But does help in case of dry fire.

Re: S5 SUPPRESSION SYSTEM

I put them on my Ibex and noticed very little difference. Maybe a little in vibration, but not much of anything noise wise. It is useful in case of dryfire, but thats about it in my opinion.

Re: GPS question

Bushnell Backtrack HuntTrack. It has 25 way points. Cant beat it for $90. Accurate and very easy to use. Doesnt have topos built in, just an arrow to tell you the direction to go and how far away you are. You can use the application with it which uses Google earth to preset waypoints from maps which...

Re: S5 vs Dissapator Bars

I dont have the Dissapator Bars to compare to, but I was very disappointed in the S5 performance. It didnt seem to help the noise at all. The only benefit I see for it is in case of a dry fire.

Re: S5 string shock suppression system review

As I have commented on this topic in several places, the s5 is a waste of money if you are wanting to make your bow less noisy. For that purpose they are a $30 paperweight. The only real purpose I can see for keeping them on is in the event of a dry fire. Other than that ... worthless. Opinions are...

Re: Performance help needed from all / including technicians

The S5's are a waste of money. They are a cool looking paper weight but thats about it. The only purpose I see for them is to help in the event of a dry fire. I cant notice much if any difference with mine on/off.

Re: Ibex has just been ordered. I have a few questions

I ordered an Ibex over a month ago and bought the s5 to go with it. There is little to no sound difference, so if you are buying it to make it quieter, you are wasting time and money. The only benefit it offers is the added protection in case of a dry fire.

Re: Flemish string construction & twists

I just recently installed the Excal Flemish and noticed the same thing and was curious about it. I tried to twist the one side to match, but seems that over time it settled back with more twists on the left side. I havent noticed any issues from it yet.

Re: pure excal setup... magical!

Gamikatsu,
You mentioned the s5, were you able to notice much of a difference with the addition of that alone? I put it on mine and was pretty dissapointed with the results. Wasnt expecting miracles, but expected it to be better than it was, which seemed like nothing.
