Re: Time for a new String?

I did get some wax at the Bass Pro shop yesterday. They said they could reserve the string there for $10. I'll keep that in mind for next time, Danny asked me to mail this string back to him so he can take a look at it. The guys at Bass Pro also said they could "file the trigger mechanism"...

Re: Time for a new String?

I talked to Danny and he is sending some new strings.

He wants me to try the first new one and see if it's serving breaks fairly quickly also. If so he said I could send the stock back and they would fix it up. Pretty good customer service.

Again thanks for the replys and help

Re: Time for a new String?

Thanks for the replys. I just looked at the information on your website Boo. And I watched the tutorials on resevering the string. It looks like I will have to get quite a few new tools to do that, but I think it will be a good investment. I will definitely contact Danny. I also read the information...

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8193/8090222963_bcc8920af8.jpg Here is the picture of where the deck meets the frame. There is clearly a little lip where the two meet, but it is smooth to the touch, no sharp edges or anything. The trigger mechanism parts appear to be smooth but I have not taken it ap...

Re: Time for a new String?

Yes I am in the US. Georgia. I'll update my info. Can I replace the severing myself? I'm pretty mechanical. I have not taken a close look at the trigger mechanism, but I did notice that where the bow attaches to the rail there might be a bit of a bump (that's not quite the right term...) where the 2...

Time for a new String?

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8333/8088770496_da72dd21ff.jpg I feel quite certain I need a new string. I am assuming that it is no longer a good idea to shoot the bow with this string on it. This happened after only about 100 shots. It was my impression that strings last a bit longer. It was the st...

Re: Dissipator Bar or S5

Thanks for the quick replys.

I think I will get the S5 kit and see how that does and maybe some whiskers and experiment.

I guess I should get a better string at some point and if I want a Boo string I need to get to ordering soon. :)

Dissipator Bar or S5

Hello, I am new to Crossbows and hunting in general. I just purchased the Axiom (it arrived 2 days ago) and have loved the target shooting I have done so far. I do plan to hunt eventually but I want to become proficient with the crossbow first. I am looking to make the crossbow a bit quieter. My que...
