I looked online and found the strongest telescoping selfie-stick I could.
Then countersunk the correct threaded insert into the fore end of the stock, just ahead of the balance point with the bow cocked and ready to shoot.
It folds back and nestles just beside the trigger guard for carry.

Re: quiver
Before I ever saw a Munch mount I saw the need for an alternate to the factory mount.
Turns out my home made one of aluminum does about the same job as a Munch.

Re: cheek piece or not to cheek.piece
I did a minimalist type. I took some white plastic pipe and cut a slit in it so it would slide tightly over the bulge at the top the stock. I don't know exactly what size, something I had lying around. 3/4 or 1" I would think. Then some hot water pipe insulation foam glued to that. Covered with...

Re: Deer and tomatoes
The deer are learning that those red things taste good.
Rather than trying to always drive them off you have to teach them that they don't taste good.
The pepper sauce seems like the best idea.

Re: Zeroing Crossbow From Elevated Position
I have a place where I can sight in with a 15 foot elevation so I do even though I notice very little POI change over 30 yards between downhill and level.

Re: Turkey vest
I have half a closet filled with packs and vests and such. I just don't like backpacks. Still go back to my load bearing rig. Based on a system like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blackhawk-Load-Bearing-Suspenders-Harness-35LBS1OD-/251872370949 Attached to the suspenders is knife, compass and small f...

Re: *UPDATE*!String not parallel with rail mark for brace he
Hmmmm. Very interesting indeed. It may cost a bit more but I would send the whole front end minus the stirrup to Danny. As for fear of stripping the heads of the bolts, which I've done a lot, get some good 1/4" driver bits and pound it in with a hammer then attach your handle to the driver and...

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
I would use this chart to see what kind of arrow drop you'll get and sight in accordingly.
You see after 30 yards it's dropping fast.

Re: Adjustable Cheek Rest
I made one for mine too but a tad different. I took a piece of thin walled white PVC pipe, I think 1", and cut a slit in it to fit over the bulge in the stock. Just enough to get the pipe to be a snug fit when you slide it over the stock. Then cut some of that brown foam hot water pipe insulati...

Re: TOP MOUNTED QUIVERS
I find it the easiest way to carry the arrows. I do remove the quick release quiver when I get there although I will admit to leaving it behind a couple of times in the dark. I'm pretty handy(and cheap) so I made one from some aluminum extrusion I found, just bolting on the factory quick release par...

Re: GAME CAMERA USERS!! !!
I don't usually get sucked into cheap stuff. I try to research enough to get something that will work well enough to justify the expense. Decent trail cams were pretty expensive and what with them having a habit of walking off in the night I waited. I read many reviews(trailcams is a good site), kep...

I'm using an Exocet.
Shoots like a laser.
Added a scope, made a top quiver mount and cheek rest.

Re: Stirrup Dampening???
I first wrapped mine with hockey friction tape, then cut some cheap CT foam pipe insulation to wrap tightly and another layer of friction tape. Did a good job of quieting things down. I have an older Exocet and the mount might leave some extra clearance, no interference problems but I do use mechani...

Re: Hunting from a tree stand
I would think the trajectory of the arrow would be affected by the down angle, not so much drop per distance. Might just compensate for the extra distance the height adds. I found a spot to set up my target range that's downhill, not quite as much height as my stand but the best I can do and I sight...

Re: Quiver modification
Factory placement is off balance - uncomfortable
Tried lots but wasn't happy with anything.
I made a bracket to attach it above the rail in line with the rail. It comes off once I get settled in place.
Not perfect but best yet
