Re: How much cutting diameter makes a differnce?

No difference if You hit them in the vitals, Deer will be dead in 5/6 seconds or 50/60 yards. If you don't make a good shot you're in trouble with both !

Re: Another look at 100 yard shooting

I've killed bucks at 50+ yds but they were relaxed and feeding. I've also seen other hunters try long range shots and hit the deer in crazy places as they responded to the sound of the shot. The mind set of the animal should always be considered .

Re: String silencers and positioning on Newer Excaliburs

I don't know about the noise factor as I don't have any way to test noise level. I do know that the farther the silencer is towards the limb tip, the faster the bow will be. Closer to the center serving will slow it down. The tests i have done were done on recurves and longbows, and I would think t...

String silencers and positioning on Newer Excaliburs

Was wondering about the string silencers I'm seeing on the new Excaliburs regarding the positioning down closer to the center of the string, Does this help speed wise or improve the effectiveness of the silencer ?

Re: Coyote hunting apps

Speaking of coyotes I've got a no $hit serious problem here on this land I purchased two months ago. The front 11 acres is cleared for pasture the back 66 is slam with green briar and wait a minute vines. The land owner before me sold off all the pine trees before selling the property, if your not ...

Re: Coyote hunting apps

I can't recommend an app for sounds but I can recommend a few for checking wind direction. Huntstand and Antler Insanity are the best I've found. They'll help you decide where to hunt that day and also which side of the field to setup on if applicable. I started out using these for deer hunting but ...

Re: Exomax Anti-Dry Fire

I installed one on my Exocet 200 for a peace of mind. It would probably survive a dry fire but I don't want to chance it.
