Hum a tuning tune.

Nothing like being bombarded with questions from us "newbs"... but I've got another. (which I'm sure has been answered countless times) I am familiar with tuning compound bows, and arrow/broadhead tuning traditional bows... but what all is involved in tuning x-bows? Obviously I don't have ...

Re: Slick Tricks

Took a look at the Swhackers... I dunno, I have a general fear of mech heads. Heard too many horror stories apparently.

Re: Slick Tricks

Thinking about picking up a couple packs... Any real advantage in the various designs?

Slick Tricks

I was sitting here stropping a mirrored shine on my last 3 Montec g5 heads, and got to thinking... Who's running which model Trick?
That 1 1/4" Grizztrick 2 looks pretty nasty!

Re: dealer recommendations?

Keep this going for those who may be bow shopping... As for me, according to the UPS tracking site, the ol' girl should be here sometime tomorrow.
Can't believe how fast that shipped... Guess sweet-talking those ladies at cabelas must have worked.

Thanks once again y'all!

Re: What All Will I Need ??

Can't help with a lot of the questions, as I am still waiting for my Excal to arrive. But as far as targets, I highly recommend the Rinehart 18-1. If you plan to do a lot of shooting, blow through that target in a year and they will replace it for free.

Welcome to the club.

Re: horrible feeling

Had a similar experience on Saturday. Like a punch in the gut and the heart. So much so that I wanted to put the bows down for good.

I definitely feel your pain brother.

Re: dealer recommendations?

Yeah, I definitely regret not checking here first... Losing a bow just before the rut, I had to act as fast as I could. Even having to wait another week, I feel like I'll miss out on that "perfect" buck.

Re: dealer recommendations?

*Update* Just got off the phone with Cabelas. Spoke with one of the nicest CS reps I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Everything seems to be a go, barring any issues in transit. I do still intend on calling Mr. Miller, given the high praises, he sounds like someone worth handing my money to...

Not by chance using a steel cable as a bow string are ya? That looks nasty.

Definitely appears to be getting a good smack somewhere down the line.

dealer recommendations?

I have no intention of starting a flame war here, but Cabelas has been giving me some issues, to the point of me contemplating canceling my Eclipse order. Are there any online EXCAL dealers who really go above and beyond with customer service and prompt shipping? I have no problem paying a bit more ...
