I simply will not take a chance on mechanicals. I bought the Excalibur for the main reason of simplicity. Less moving parts and more reliable and accuarate. I know that there have been a many of deer killed with mechanicals and never had a lick of trouble but I simply will not do it personally. Bes...

Wabi, lighting plays a big role when taking a photo... I would be willing to bet that the CBN photo is a more accurate representation of its true color.

Could shoot a 1/2" diameter arrow with those heads. So long as the hole you're cutting is bigger than the shaft. A little bit of brass showing wont effect anything.

My only "complaint" (If you could call it that?) is that the "black carbon" highlights wear marks, whereas they would just blend in with a camo finish.

45# Recurve, sharp 2 blade broadhead, well placed shot within 15 yards - I have no doubt that you'll put a few down.

If shooting fixed blades, anything under 1 1/4" will fit the riser cut-out. My 1 1/8" Tricks tuck in nicely.Masboy wrote:...and don,t know how big of fixed blade will fit in the grove in the front?
