Re: Ontario Moose
Bull tags were gone by the time I got through so I chose a cow. Do cows respond to calling? Have you tried a tree stand?

Ontario Moose
Just curious if anyone is familiar with WMU 22 and WMU 19, I have an opportunity to bow hunt for a cow moose in either of those units and I would like to concentrate my efforts in and area where the density is the greatest? I would like to christen the Micro I bought last year.

Re: Does WV require 18" bolt minimum?
The Micro will shoot the 18's and the 20's. They just come with the 16's because its supposed to be compact. I have shot the 20" firebolts out of mine.

At least you are seeing sign, I was out checking my tree stand this morning and was a little disappointed to see no tracks. Maybe this cooler weather will help.

Where do you go to hunt hogs? I'm guessing Ohio doesn't have any. I've never done it but would like to.

Re: Bushnell Trophy XLT Crossbow Scope Yea or Nay ?
I shot a 22-250 with a trophy on it and I wasn't impressed. I must say that 60 bucks is a good deal for that scope.

Binoculars
Does anybody have a suggestion for a decent set of binoculars that I can use for deer hunting. I lost my Vortex and need something affordable with good optics. I can't afford an expensive pair right now.

Try turning the speed ring to faster speed to zero in at 50 yards then go back and adjust for 20 yards using the height adjustment. This has worked for me, I find some days I shoot better than others.

Re: Frustrating Day of Shooting
Not sure if its been mentioned already but its possible your scope is pooched. I had a bad scope on my Micro and it was shooting all over the target. I sent it back to Excalibur and they replaced and my problem was solved. I also check each and every fastener on the bow as well.

Re: Question about Micro
Possum. I am 6' 3" and have long arms as well. The micro fits me just fine and is not difficult to cock even with the higher draw weight. You can shoot the 18" bolts if you like, I have shot the 20" and the 18" bolts and they both are accurate.

Re: Help choosing first crossbow
I was going to buy a Matrix 355 last year but it wasn't in the budget, then the Micro came out. Same price for either bow but the Micro comes with anti dry fire and the string bumpers where as the 355 doesn't. I bought a Micro this summer and I love it.
