Re: Built in Rangefinders!

Thought you all might find this amusing. Jumped on the 4whlr, and rode to my hunting area. The 8 point I've been chasing was waiting for me at my usual parking spot. He was there with a small doe. Had a stare down with him for several minutes before he went off into the woods. It's no wonder I love ...

Re: Built in Rangefinders!

Just had the 8 Pointer I want within 40 yards but he would not stop moving. I'm not confident enough to shoot a moving deer at that range. If he only paused for a second I'd have let it fly! Going to code blue him tomorrow so maybe he will stop to take a sniff. I've only got until this Saturday. Tha...

Built in Rangefinders!

I don't know what it is, but the shooter bucks in my neck of the woods seem to have rangefinders. They come in to 60yrds, stand broadside then wander off! The 4 pt and smaller ones come within 25yrds. I think I'm going to have to try and sight my Phoenix in for 60 or break down and buy that Matrix 3...

Re: What is your Favorite Camo?

I agree with most that the camo pattern does not matter all that much. For most of my life I couldnt afford special hunting clothes. I shot deer in blue jeans and a surplus army jacket. But now that I am older I bought some high quality hunting clothes and it has made all the difference for my old b...

Re: 150 grain Slick Trick ?

Shooting the x-bow slick 150's on Firebolt carbon lumenocks and love em'. No real difference in accuracy at 30 yds out of my Phoenix. Have not shot one of them "tick toters" with it yet though.

A Hunter's Prayer

A Hunter’s Prayer May the Lord bless you as you enjoy the majesty of his creation. May you be blessed to observe the wonder of the sky, beauty of the vegetation, and the glory of his handiwork. May you be blessed with weather that is in your favor. Let the wind carry your scent away from the game. B...

Is there an advantage to removing the DB's besides weight? Just curious.

Re: My Phoenix is the best Excalibur model made

My Phoenix is the best crossbow made...period. I don't need no stinking Matrix. (That is what I keep telling myself) Yep, me too, me too, me too, me too, me too..........doesn't work. Yuke, how many times did you tell yourself that before you believed it?   Boo, I am up to around 50...

Re: Just "Pulled the Trigger" New Phoenix Red Dot

Well, I know it's hard to believe, especially this time of year but UPS delivered my Phoenix yesterday (1 day early). Got it put together last night and took it out back today after work and fired some shots off. All I can say is Yee-Haw!!! This thing smokes those arrows. Every shot within 6 inches ...

Re: Just "Pulled the Trigger" New Phoenix Red Dot

Congrats ...those 4 dot red/green scopes are nice if thats the one you got . Enjoy and be safe. Welcome Yes that is the scope I wanted. I ordered it without actually seeing one as none of the local stores had one in stock. I'm hoping it has a little more of on open sight feel to it versus a rifle s...
