I had been on the fence about reloading when I got the .45-70, but with ammo prices going up, I'm just going to have to do it. Not just pistol ammo, but rifle ammo for the .223 and .7.62x39 has been going up steadily as well. The firearm market has exploded since the election. I'm thinking about tak...

Urine is supposed to be sterile. What happens to it once it gets out of the deer could contaminate it, I don't imagine a doe pee farm maintaining sterility on their product. I don't know about the shelf life of the pheromone chemicals in it. I have more than I can use this year, so I'm considering f...

My season, too is in some jeopardy. My dad has been diagnosed with cancer, and I have been busy running him back and forth to doctors. Once the full diagnosis is complete, that should calm down. I completely missed bow and ML season, and I have only been twice all year. My wife is the only one to ki...

I put on my hunting clothes at the house and don't stop anywhere between there and the hunting area. I do it for scent control. I don't think I'll pick up too much scent during the drive, but if I stopped at a gas station here, I would come out smelling like a fried cigarette. If I only hunt half th...

I took my wife out to the blind once last year. She liked it even though the weather was awful and we didn't see any deer. She wasn't that fond of my tenant, a little black mouse. She didn't even think it was cute the way he came out and licked the p-nut butter off the log. She wants to go again thi...

The first time I ever went out a doe came right up to me. I had on the orange vest and was sitting against a tree. She looked right at me and kept on eating like I wasn't there.

I took my climbing stand and affixed it in 2 pieces to an old jogging stroller frame. I rearranged the frame a little and now it wheels in my stand and gear on 2 wheels. If I get lucky, it doubles as a dead sled.

I am to the point that I will not make a special trip to Bass Pro. We have one at the boardwalk in Bossier City, but I only go in there if my wife is shopping there already, I have been disappointed before by going in for one of their sales only to find they are out of stock. I can usually beat thei...
