Re: Do You Hunt When It's Windy?
I hunt in the wind...until it is blowing hard enough to be dangerous. The deer are spooky with their sense of smell, hearing and sight being worked overtime. It is a great time to still hunt if you have the place to do it. I have never shot a deer from my couch watching TV, nor sitting at my compute...

Re: Feathers
Benefits beside the "cool factor" are: very light weight and good stabilization. They are very forgiving (useful on vertical bows shooting fingers and where arrow shelf/rest clearance is a problem). Downside: Durability, weather resistance, high drag, while they are lightweight there is mo...

Aha, Lilith, Adam's first wife and consort of demons, who steals the life of children in their cribs.....ugh. So goes at least one legend.

Re: Need another name!
Names, particularly pet names should be earned not given. Take her out, play with her, treat her right and she will launch your shaft at speeds you have never known.... ...a name will come to you. One earned by common experience. Don't rush it....this should be a long, pleasant, intimate rela...

Re: Matrix 355 speed
I have a new Matrix 355. Without experimenting for a brace height sweet spot. (fired with string 1/2" from riser) Using 400 gr. arrows my speed was 331fps over a Pro Chrony. Stock string with maybe 20 shots on it.

Re: How do you keep your broadheads tight?
I have just used old fashioned bowstring wax. Has worked for keeping broadheads secure without freezing in the insert and for rustproofing screws and such when headed out in the rain. Has worked for me for some 35 yrs.

Re: RUBBER BABY BUGGY BUMPERS for MATRIX 355
This place is dangerous. It looks like I'm going to have to buy a 355 just to give me an excuse to fire up the lathe.
I like this idea.

Re: Need Some Ideas
Try "Goop", the shoe sole repair stuff. I use it on waders all the time. Sticks well and seals...it is tough and waterproof. I used to hunt with a friend who couldn't resist shooting the Flambeau type duck decoys. (He claims they were accidents). After draining them overnight we would use ...

Re: Prochrono digital
Yes sir....60 cyc./sec in the USA. Electicity was never my strong point...I know just enough to get into trouble. I have been messing with Chronographs for firearm reloading and testing for close to 30 years. They are a very handy tool. I currently am using a Pro-chrony unit that is about 12 yrs. ol...

Re: Prochrono digital
Hoagy, You will find that not only fluorescent lighting but regular incandescent will also wreck havoc with the accuracy of the Chrono. AC current cycles at some 3600 times a second and the Chrono will pick that up also. The lighting kit has a transformer and runs on DC. Battery powered lighting wor...
