Arrow length question
I have been researching crossbows and arrows. One article I read stated that the length of the arrow by the crossbow maker is the minimum length that should be used for the type of crossbow that one is using. If that is true , what would the pros and cons of using a longer arrow. Instead of say a 20...

Arrow questions
I am starting to fletch and would like to know what you all think about the best arrow diameter for a crossbow arrow that is shooting between 300 and 400 feet per second. Has anyone ever used the Easton Full metal Jacket shafts? What are the best flat nocks to use , aluminum or plastic? Also what wo...

Re: Feather and Broadhead alignment question.
Thank Y`all for the input. Will be easier not having to align until I learn how to build an accurate arrow.
Thanks again

Feather and Broadhead alignment question.
Would someone advise me about whether or not the feather and a blade on an arrow , crossbow or other wise needs to be aligned when looking down the shaft from the rear of the arrow.
Thanks

Broadhead question on capatability
I have been informed that traditional archery broad heads and crossbow broad heads are manufactured to different standards due to the quickness of crossbows and the harder hitting of the crossbow. Therefore a traditional broad head is not recommended for crossbow .Having said that , what about the c...

Re: Arrow fletching
Thanks ,I do think that the blazer vanes will be fine, still like the real feathers , maybe I`ll get a few arrows made with feathers just to try them , but will stay with Blazer if the work well for me.

Re: Arrow fletching
Thank you for the tip. Do the 2 inch have any special way to be put on ( right or left or straight? )? Can they be glued on wraps or would the the bare shaft be better? What about the shrink fletching using hot water, are they any good or is it just hype? One other question , Aluminum or carbon arro...

Re: Arrow fletching
Appreciate the info , I guess a crossbow is like a gun, you shoot whatever the gun likes , so I will follow that train of thought with a crossbow. I guess I`ll also have to try different arrow heads. 2-blade, 3-blade and 4-blade combinations , with the different fletch options and arrows. I`ll be go...

Arrow fletching
I`m back now that Murphy`s Law has given be a break. I would like to thank every one that replied to my previous posts. My questions are as follows. What is the best size fletching to use from 2 inches up to 4 inches in size? 3 or 4 fletches/vanes? What type of cut should the fletches be. I like the...

Re: Which type of broadhead is best for the crossbow?
The reason that I chose 150 grain broadhead is my mind set. When I use to hunt with firearms I had my own standard as far as what caliber I was shooting and what the weight and speed of that bullet should be. I rarely differed from my mind set unless I could not safely achieve the speed , that I dee...

Which type of broadhead is best for the crossbow?
I am now trying to find out the best option for the 150 grain broadhead . Should one go with a single blade , 3 blade or 4 blade option , vented or non-vented ? I know that trying different ones would be the way to go , but I do not want to spend a fortune and have many blades I can not use. As I ha...

Re: First Hog...Ever
Job well done. We do not have Hogs here , it would be nice to hunt them, guess it would be a field trip to another state, I`m not wishing for them, cause you should always be careful of what you wish for , you may get it.
