Re: SPOT & STALK

Looks like most of you all agree with what I have been doing, but we seem to think differently than those on the other site. Must be because we carry only the best and most reliable to the field.

Re: SPOT & STALK

I agree with you on that Vix, just want to verify I'm not being unsafe. Common sense is the key.

SPOT & STALK

How do you carry your crossbow when spot and stalk hunting? Arrow loaded or ? There is a thread on another site that has this discussion going on and I'm curious what the more knowledgeable EXCAL folks thought. Here in Arizona, the bulk of my hunting is spot and stalk and the first time out we carri...

Re: 405 Cocking Question

Get a c2 cocking device. I have a bad back and am amazed at how quickly you can cock with it. It's not as fast as a rope cocker but for target work it's great.

Re: micro with lighter drawweight?

At 61, 5'7", 170lbs, and 4 messed up lower discs in my back, I was concerned about being able to cock it. I wouldn't want to do it a ton of times but I have no problem cocking it. For shooting in the back yard and to save my back, I picked up a C2 crank. I thought it would be a pain to use but ...

Re: ATV crossbow mount question?

Do search on this site for crossbow quad mount and you will see links to photos of one that I built. we have 2 quads that these are mounted on and neither my gf or i have had any issues, but then we are hunting, not riding balls to the wall. I put them in a soft case and strap them in. you just have...

Brass marks On Rail

I ended up with brass marks (from the rollers on the C2) on the sides of the rail on my new Micro. Anyone know how to remove these marks? Or am I forced to leave them as a reminder of my screw-up.

Re: Painting an Exocet

I would look at black Plastidip for the stock and maybe try the new rustolem ruberized for the limbs. You could even sprinkle sand on the butt pad surface on the wet 1st coat and then put another coat over the sand. Makes for a real secure shoulder to butt weld for offhand and even bench shooting.le...

THOUGHT I SCREWED UP & BOUGHT A MICRO, BUT I DIDN'T

GOT THE MICRO TODAY and have to say I did not screw up. After setting it up I only got to shoot it 3 times but so far I really like it. It shoulders like a dream, trigger felt good and with my NIKON BOLT mounted it all just has such a cool factor to it. It is a little hard to cock with the bad back,...

Re: Holiday Wishes!

Well said Dan, I have certainly seen your generosity to others lately & I applaud you for it. Hopefully after the new Micro gets here tomorrow and I recover from Christmas spending I will get one of your Micro strings. Keep up the 'home' improvements and you'll come out a better person for it. P...

SCREWED UP & BOUGHT A MICRO?

Well I have been reading all of your great comments on the micro and threw a lo-ball bid on fleabay for the camo version and won the whole package for $750.
Really wasn't planning on getting one but.......
Looking forward to getting it and seeing how much better it is than my second hand Exocet.
