Re: Crossbow target suggestions

Have had an 18-1 for 10-12 years. It looks pretty bad but still works. Got a delta bag target a few months back. After 5 or so shots in the center am ruining vanes. Switched points to blunt bullet type but the damage is already done. Wouldn't reccomend the delta. $50 wasted.

Re: arrow making supplies

I don't know about the shipping difference to CA, but I just paid $46 US for an AZ ez fletch bolt a few weeks ago. Just went with 2" blazers no wrap 50 for $5. Gorilla glue was $4. All on eBay US. You may want to check in there and eBay CA.

Re: Who needs snakes?!

I had had some several years ago in a persimmon tree as well. They caught me weed eating. Dropped the weed eater and ran. They kept on bombing that thing. Both barrels of a 16 gauge coach gun wiped them out. Had another on my eaves a few years back. They didn't get anybody. I used what they call an ...

Re: Who needs snakes?!

Tobacco moistened and put on the stings will help. A few years back I had one just outside the front door in a crape myrtle. I was spraying weed killer and they got me in the nose and back. The one in the side of the nose felt like I got hit by a slingshot then when the one hit me in the back I figu...

Re: Has anyone shot the old Fred Bear 2 blade heads?

Can't say what they would do in your fast bow. In my 280 fps bow they are 2" to the left of field points at 50 with big helical blazer vanes. They are 5" to the left and a few inches high with 4" small hilical vanes. The 4" vanes also don't penetrate as well so guessing there is ...

Re: Tough carbon arrows wanted

They had the zombie ones on ebay for 88 a dozen, couldn't pass that up. They are noticeably stiffer and a little fatter than the victory x-bolts. When I was gluing in the nocks it looked like they had a cross hatch pattern instead of the smoothe look most arrows have. Didn't find a flyer out of the ...

Re: what blades do you use

I use swhacker 125s. I had a jackhammer sst not stick a few years ago and put a slice on the hide but not really get into meat. I'd used sst for 15 years or so prior without one problem. I guess the angle was just right. I wanted to go with a 3 blade but the quartering deal had me worried and swhack...

Tough carbon arrows wanted

Hello, good to be here amongst a good group of people, I've been searching and lurking for years. Needed to contact a buddy on here so I registered up the other day. I thought I may as well post before I get new arrows to get some oppinions first. Thanks in advance. Right now I shoot victory xbolts ...
