Re: scope questions
X3. Just put a TT Matrix Hunter on my 380 (which I love). I also got a dz Zombie Slayers set up and numbered Step 1 - Arrow 1 out of a lead sled at 20 yds. Was 1.5" high and straight on R-L Adjusted and was 3" high. Realized I went the wrong way. Adjust 3" the other way. Dead one. Sho...

Re: Arrow Flight Way Off!
I've had both a fletching partially ripped off in flight (it was left hanging by the back end) and had a nock fail ( split the shaft as well). In the 2nd case, I think I didn't get the bolt complete seated. In the case of failed fletch, it sounded normal, but flew to the right. When the nock failed,...

Re: Matrix 380 Loose scope mount?
Had my 380 for a month and several bolts started coming loose. Blue Loctite on all the bolts and it fixed the prob. Been a year now and no additions loosening.

Re: Rangefinder Dilema
I went thru your same dilemma earlier this year. I was heavily leaning toward one of the Nikons - was jumping from the 5 to the 7 to the Archers Choice. Also considered the Bushnell "The Truth" and the Chuck Adams Bowhunter addition. Always found something I didn't like on one of the units...

Re: Swacker broad head with Excalibur 380?
I took a doe a 25 yds with a 125 gr Shwacker on Black Eagle Executioner. Got both lungs and put a 1" gash across the top of heart. She only made it another 25 yds before expiring leaving a easy to follow blood trail the whole way.

Re: Matrix 380 success
Congrats! What county are you hunting in? I hunt 77M in Milwaukee. Riflemanz - My son and I bow hunt on our 15 acres behind our house in Central St. Croix County in Western WI. (the Wis part of the Twin Cities). We gun hunt on 80 acres that is split down the middle by the Monroe - LaCrosse county l...

Matrix 380 success
It's been a crazy season here in Wis. Great start to the rut. Passed on a nice 10pt, hoping to get a 15 pt we had seen in the area all summer. Then lost a really nice 10pt during gun season (different area from where we bow hunt). I thought it was a good hit - tracked him 1.5 miles up and down the b...

Big Kudos to A-1 Archery in Hudson, WI
Gotta give big Kudos to A-1 Archery in Hudson, WI and to Excalibur Service - Stopped in Late Tuesday to show them the Divots and Splinter I found on the right Limb of my 380 when shooting Monday evening. They recommended replacing them right away. Said they'd check with Excalibur in the morning and ...

Re: Waterproof pants . .
If it makes you feel any better, my son wore a pair of Cabelas Insulated Gore-Tex pants for 2 years back when he was 12. Found a pair in the Cabelas bargin basement for a fraction of the price, at the rate they grow, no way was I paying for expensive hunting pants. He didn't know until he heard me t...

Re: Worried about my Matrix Limbs
Sorry, I should have been more specific. It was not a full dry fire that I had several weeks ago, but a "partial" (not completely sure what to call it) A nock failed, and the string went under the arrow. The arrow did go down range but flew off target. ( My Matrix 380 has the Guardian on i...

Re: Worried about my Matrix Limbs
I'm sure it was the rubber pie specs that hit me. I'm more baffled by why the left whiskers moved to the center serving. When I shot it the first time after they were served on, they actually shifted out further on the first shot. And why only the left one.

Worried about my Matrix Limbs
Was out shooting tonight and had a strange experience. I was shooting a Diablo with a 125gr field point. It was my 5th shot of the evening, when several small thinks hit me in the face. No strange sounds and the Diablo when downrange, pretty much on target (might have pulled 1 or 2 to the right). No...

Re: Thanks Dan (aka xcaliber) :-)
A nice Green and Gold would look FANtastic on my Matrix.
Even our deer bleed green and gold here in WI. Sure makes them a -------- to track though.
