I live in Kanata and have hunted the Marlboro Forest and around Calabogie on crown land. I still get out a time or two each year to hunt around Norwood and also around Parry Sound for deer..... I've heard good things about the Larose forest for moose but haven't tried yet... usually for moose I hunt...

DOXNUT..... I used to hunt that area (around both Terrace Bay and around Longlac).... if you are looking for bears that's a good place to find them and there are a number of good outfitters in the area if you want to go that route.... the biggest bear I personally saw was 470# but some of the guy's ...

the guy's that I hunt with have agreed to cancel the moose trip this year.... :( .... it's a 16 hour drive one way (750 miles).... with gas prices the way they are it's too expensive to run 2 trucks with trailers....... :evil: .... the deer around home might just be the ones who get the worst of it ...
