Re: Ground Blinds
I've had great luck with the Ghost blind, not enclosed but it fools all of the critters. Here is their website if you want to check it out... (copy and paste)

Re: lady talking to and charging black bear
What you didn't see was the .500 magnum she had pointed at it's head in case the bear wasn't agreeable; in which case the headlines would have read "Armed Hiker Prevents Savage Bear Attack Due To Keen Vigilance."

My new Blackout ready for testing!!!
After I received my Matrix I shot it a couple of times and realized that the Diablo arrows were not what I was looking for. I decided to re-fletch them with Aerovane II's since that is what I've been shooting on my bow for the last 3-4 years and the mess left behind by the old glue frustrated me to ...

Re: Matrix 380 trigger
I just bought a 380 as well and I'm not sure about the trigger but you should stop oiling it if you want it to break in. The metal parts need time to wear-in and the lubricity from the oil will prevent the surfaces from mating quickly. Also be careful about how much oil you're using since 1 drop eve...

Re: Wasp Z force broadhead and Excalibur Matrix 380
It's great to see others test a product and post the results. It gives the rest of us a chance to learn about something we might not have thought about looking into and I just wanted to say thank you and I hope you keep us up to date on your first kill with these broad heads.

Re: Three inches or four? Or six?
I've been hunting with revolvers for a long time and started hunting with a S&W 686 .357 magnum with an 8 3/8" barrel in the mid 80's. Since then I realized that the round was marginal at best for hunting deer and later upgraded to a FA 454 Casull and a S&W 500 magnum which downed plent...

Re: Go figure
Oh man you're making it hard on me! I'm like a crack addict with this new crossbow thing and I keep hearing about more cool stuff to get and feed the addiction. Pretty soon I'll be able to add wheels to my Matrix and drive it around.

Re: Go figure
Wow! What a great shot and lucky that you now have different shooting options without having to change your setup at all.
How do you like your optimizer? Thinking about adding one to my setup.

Re: Hunting light for xbow
I do a lot of hog hunting at night but I do it over a feeder so my lights are over the feeder. It wouldn't be easy for me to get around in the dark since everything in South Texas either stings, pricks, bites or cuts. The pigs down here are also very aggressive so I'm not sure that I would want to t...
