A Personal Thanks

My long time friend has asked me to hunt with him on some land that he has permission to hunt. Where he is sitting me, in a treestand, he says he always sees at least 30+ deer every year opening day. Knowing this and the fact that I got two doe tags pretty well clinches me a deer on opening day. As ...

Getting Pumped

Yeah, I have been watching Arnold Swarzenegger......NO!!! This is my first year hunting with a crossbow, hunting from a treestand, hunting over a food plot and I am really pumped. While I write this I can just see everyone groaning saying, "Stop reminding me how close deer hunting is.....ACK&qu...

I believe that you need the aluminum arrow wraps as I believe that the carbon ones will not fit properly on those bolts. Someone from here told me that.

Got a DropZone...not sure about it

I stated in earlier posts that I only had the f/o sight that came with the Phoenix. Well my friend was selling his 'mint' condition DropZone for $50.00 so I bought it from him. Now that it is mounted and I have shot with it and got it sighted in, I am feeling like going back to the f/o sight simply ...

Deer Hunting Question

Hiya again all: I have been researching magazines and the internet on what deer are feeding on when October hits. I did this because I have planted a food plot this year and I am hoping that it has some attraction to them when it comes Oct 1st. Now in the magazines they are saying that in that month...

Who makes xbow bolts here?

Besides Greywolf who makes xbow bolts that they sell or use for themselves? I am just wondering if making my own is actually cheaper and/or worth it than buying them. TY for feedback.

Excalibur Scope Rings question

Hiya all: I just purchased a set of Excalibur scope rings. I phoned to another archery shop to get a comparison in price AFTER I purchased the first set. Stupid I know. Anyway, the guy at the archery shop said he did not carry Excalibur Scope Rings because he said that they were prone to breaking. (...

Question on the Arizona EZ Fletch

Not so easy it seems to me. They have so many models I can't decide which one to choose. The 3 and 4? Is that a model that gives you 3 and 4 degree offset? Is there another model out there that can do all arrows without having to get a wood or carbon or helical or 3 or 4 Arizona EZ Fletcher?

Hoping for Chat Room Edition

Hello everyone and Excalibur: I have been surfing huntingnet.com and have been into the chat room there. Is there any chance of a chat room coming to the Excalibur web site? I have gotten to know a lot of the guys on here and I would like to be able to talk to them one on one as I am sure everyone e...

VariZone need a battery?

Hiya all: I have been brainstorming and reading all the feedback from the last post I put up and I am 99.999% of the way to buying a VariZone. Does the VariZone need batteries? It looks as if the LumiZone does though right? Also, when I buy the VariZone scope, is the scope, mount and rings all in on...

Would like some feedback on this

Hello again all. I just sighted my Phoenix in tonight. One thing I really noticed was that when you get out to 30 yds the f/o practically obliterates the spot on the deeryou are trying to hit. Is there anything in the works from Excalibur regarding a different f/o sight that comes standard with any ...

FINALLY COMPLETE!!

I finally have my Phoenix ready to go for this years deer hunting. (eqp't wise that is) There is a couple things that I may purchase in the future but I will see how the fibre optic sight works out for this year. If it doesn't then I will probably go to the VariZone scope. (Still looking for one for...

Dan Miller quiver bracket

Hiya all: I posted earlier about this setup but only now did I truly look at the pictures real close. Am I right by seeing that the bracket is put in place of the fibre optic sight that comes standard with my Phoenix? If so then I guess I would have to purchase a scope for my xbow to see over the br...

Hiya all: I planted No Plow by Whitetail Institute of North America. It is an annual meant to be put down in the middle of the woods without any plowing eqpt (garden rake and hand cultivator is all I used). I put the first planting of it in the ground in late June and WOW, that was up and through th...
