Hmmm, I've been toying with the idea of trying a decoy. That looks pretty good and the price isn't too bad. I might just run up to Cabela's before Friday's hunt.
Some of the big decoys are insane expensive.

Re: broadheads that will group with field points?
the slick trick mags shoot about 5" low at 40 yards compared to my field points I always chuckle when I read about wanting broadheads and fp's to hit to the same point of aim. Why should they? Aerodynamically they have different profiles and different coefficients of drag, if you run th...

Re: Help me mod my 380
Plasti-dip is plenty tough enough for the stirrup...the "dip" kind that is. The spray stuff is too thin even with many coats and will peel right off. I'll post pics tonight of my dipped stirrup. Here is another pic of the buttstock dip. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d4/drewzintense/but...

Re: Excalibur cheek piece height?
Not enough! I've never measured but I'd say 3/8"-7/16". If I get my cheekbone down tight to the stock on the cheek piece, my eye lines up with the top of the scope rail. I need to come up another inch to be looking right down the pipe. I'm currently working on the solution. It's defi...

Re: Prejudices Against Crossbows
I got into traditional archery after last years bow season was over. I shot and hunted with a compound back in my 20's and wanted to get back into a vertical bow but without all of the additional equipment required. And on some of the trad forums you would probably be kicked off for just saying the ...

Re: Grim Reaper or Muzzy Trocar X-Bow Broadheads
Brother in law used the grim reaper on a small 6pt this year and did not get a passthru. Not that big a deal although I would expect it to blast thru at 15yds. The big worry was the blades breaking off. He is now finally going fixed and trying the muzzy trocar and slick tricks. I do not understand t...

X2 on the claw contour sling, quality scope, and tigger tech trigger.
To that I'd add a custom Flemish string, and the. Dip the butt stock in plasti-dip to prevent slipping.

Re: CB Target for Broadheads
I would also recommend the blob target. And the one you were thinking of from Cabelas, the field logic block target is supposed to be good as well. Got to say I'm not really that impressed with the Rinehart targets. My target ball did not last long at all. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d4/drewzi...

Re: fletching clearence
Depending on the broadhead, (fixed vs mechanical), most will require some small scope adjustments. The aerodynamics of a broadhead are not the same as field points so it stands to reason they would impact slightly different. People seem to like mechanicals as they are fixated on having their broadhe...

As we are starting to see bigger bucks move during daylight already I plan on starting some rattling soon. Probably by next wknd. I bought a set of rattling antlers about 25yrs ago and have never used them. Time to start!

Re: Danny Miller Quiver Mount
Sorry guys but I wouldn't add that to my bow for anything. Looks awful, and makes the overall package size so much bigger, but to each their own right. I suppose it's functional but I would not care to be monkeying around trying to get an arrow under that while loading. I use the factory quiver moun...
