i was in houlgin 2005/2006 new years, i didnt do any fishing but i did snorkel right from the beach and there were all sorts of fish swimming around. It probably depends on how far you can cast and if the resort let you fish of shore but anyways iwould say give it a shot. The different kinds of fish...
