Re: Equinox String Upgrade (Non Excalibur Flemish vs Warrant
I have had to replace limbs before. They don't even ask about your string and when you send them limbs for repair, you'd take off the string and remove limbs from the riser anyway...they'd be none the wiser as to what was on it. Especially because you have the Guardian. Since you can't, in theory, d...

Re: Off season storage of my Crossbow?
Quote: May sound like a dumb question but how do you set the brace height on the 380? My 380 has the string sitting on the bumpers.[/quote] This is a thread of its own. Search the site, you'll find directions from people who know a LOT more than me. No dumb questions. Just stupid instructional DVDs ...

Re: Food plots work for you folks
1-Never hunt the AM on a plot. Hunt trails away from it that lead to their beds. 2-Be realistic, it's not like on TV. 3-Never sit directly on the edge, locate stands in wooded cover if possible, 15-100y in the woods. 4-Only go there when the wind is right for your approach, never with wind going int...

Re: Considering a 405 be Honest With Yourself
Anthony, I have to pull mine up about 4". This is where i tied my cocking rope off, it makes it a little hard to get the second latch on, but pulling to cock it is much shorter, and easier to let down as well. I could handle the 380 just fine, but went with the 355, and will look at the 330 in...

Re: matrix blew apart
Just wanted to add that Peter was baffled and hadn't seen many limbs on the Matrix line splinter like mine did.

Re: matrix blew apart
Peter (Excalibur Marketing Dude) said Matrix limb problems are user related. I have the Matrix 355 and its limbs are solid built. If this truly happened I am with everyone else I need proof. Andrew I have a splintering issue the right limb of my Matrix 380. Peter knows about it and it certainly was...

Re: Matrix 355 scope
I have a Leupold Ulitmate Slam scope for my ML. Not sure if this scope has the same quality of glass the crossbones or any of the many others listed, (can anyone verify this?) But I'd put the Leupold Ultimate Slam equal to or below my Hawke XB30 for low light shooting. If the crossbones had an illum...

Re: How to quiet down the Matrix 380 ...
Did you place the limb dampeners with the X inside or outside (forward) on the limb? I always place the X on the face of the limb, (inside surface facing me.). Never tried the outside like you mentioned. Long offseason ahead... I went and looked at the placement more carefully and I have them place...

Re: How to quiet down the Matrix 380 ...
Thanks for the update! Had me re-thinking everything in my setup. I personally needed to slow down my matrix because the XB30 scope I already had and preferred has a speed dial that only goes to 360fps. I played around with the x-factor limb dampeners and found the sweet spot for speed/sound was tig...

Re: How to quiet down the Matrix 380 ...
Strange... I have the same setup, (Boo string, 396gr BEEs, x-factor dampeners), and I'm only getting 347fps. Did you chrony your bow after the mods or guesstimate because I'd like to know where I'm losing 30fps in my setup.

Re: Best deals on 380's in Canada right now?
I got mine from wyvern creations, an online archery service, and shipped it stateside to a property I own, and brought it back through customs. A buddy of mine happened to be working the booth that day :D but I don't think they can charge duty on it because it is made in Canada and says so on the pr...

Re: Scope Change
I used to use a huge diameter red dot mounted on a vert bow. They are great for low light and fast target acquisition. Always pack extra batteries some where, like taped under the cheek piece, because the major downside to them is what do you do if the battery dies and you don't have a replacement?
