Re: Deer in Maryland
Early season sightings in St. Mary's county mirror the above. in the last week rutting activity has increased but in my spots it's mostly small bucks. This has definitely been a weird year

Re: fletching questions
I haven't shot an arrow with a helical fletching out of a verticle or crossbow in 15 years. In my experience a 2-3 degree straight offset works just as good.

Re: Most accurate Excalibur?
To many variables.....Shooter, trigger, bow setup including arrows, broadheads, scope etc. etc. All models are capable of great accuracy. My Exomax and Matrix 380 are extremely accurate. Shooting from a benchrest both will honestly shoot broadhead tipped hunting arrows into the same hole in a Rineha...

Re: 380 Adjustment
Boo, thanks for the tip. I think that 90% of the noise from the 380 is the string whacking the hell out of the stops. A little more distance sure might help there, but I'm new to crossbows and looking for good tips too. I have to disagree. A string hitting rubber string stoppers don't emit a high p...

Re: Accurace improved for my new Matrix 380
If you really want to improve accuracy ditch the Easton Diablos and shoot Black spine matched and indexed Eagle Executioners.
The accuracy change will be like switching from a 30-30 lever rifle to a bolt action sniper rifle.

Re: Tact Zone Scope Problems (2nd time)
I gave up before I started. Sold the TactZone NIB and mounted a Hawke XB30 compact.
For the retail prices Excal scopes leave a lot to be desired.

Re: Summit Viper clanking when I walk
Summit stands while comfortable are notorious for being noisey when carrying and climbing.
Get a Lone Wolf and your noise problems will be solved.

If it were my choice for a 175 lb Ecal it would be a Phoenix. I don't like the composite rails on the Axiom and Ibex.

Re: lone wolf sit and climb
I have and like to use the LW hand climber but don't like the sit n climb. To me it pushes you in to the stand as you climb and the top doesn't grab a tree like the hand climber does. I was kinda disappointed with it and sold mine.

Re: omni nock update
If you paid $9.25 for a dozen omni's you got shafted. They are $4.00 a pack from TP or Wyverns. TP requires them to be used on all 2013 bows or the owner voids the warantee. They're supposed to eliminate dry fires not add accuracy. I haven't tried them on Excal bow but my testing with TP bows hasn't...

Nice young buck with lots of potential. I'd give him another year or two to mature.

Dan sure does make a fine string! I'm using a camo string on my Exomax, just order a bronze/silver spare for it and a camo string for my new Matrix 380.

Re: Rated R
To purposely shoot a deer that way with an arrow is one of the dumbest things I've read. You wouldn't be welcome in my hunting camp.
