Re: Point blank range for a crossbow?
On a 1 pin vertical bow I have set the pin using a 12 in circle .Hold center at 10 yds.set it to hit high(on the circle) back up 5 yds. at a time your done at the yardage that falls outside the circle. Arrow speed/weight will affect yours results .

Re: Most accurate Excalibur?
My 9 yr. old son has been shooting my 380 .Can hit 1 1/2 dots at 50 yds. with stock arrows running 125 field points. He had never shot a crossbow before and he was hitting like this the first day we shot. This is off a bench with a Harris bipod. Largest group to date is 3" at 50 yards.(after si...

Re: Hawks Are Cool
I keep yard chickens. In the spring when they hatch young I have to keep the shop Bay door closed as they often try to escape Hawks by coming in with a Hawk in pursuit. Hawks and custom paint jobs don't work. On a regular basis the Hawks will hit the closed door when they catch one. Loads of fun whe...

Re: Accurace improved for my new Matrix 380
It's not the destination .It's the journey!! I and others enjoy tuning our gear to try to get the most we can from any given piece of kit. The Industry keeps it's hand on the pulse of the public (If they are smart like Excalibur ) and adjust to suit. Is the 380 Matrix a awesome crossbow? Hell Yeah! ...

Re: Accurace improved for my new Matrix 380
The C2 is great. Well made lets you control and watch the process of cocking the bow. I even go as far as making sure equal wraps of cord are on each side. The stock cord is fine but I upgraded to stronger Kevlar just in case as I run a 380. One of the perks is with the stringing aid and the C2 adju...

Brace Height Measurement
When you measure brace height do you measure to the near or far side of the string off the joint?

Re: Accurace improved for my new Matrix 380
My 380 shoots much tighter groups using the C2 crank. I cock before I go to hunt and carry the rope cocker as a backup.
