Re: Shooting Distance

If I could insert 1 point that was taught to me at a tender age. What ever you determine to be your hunting range your practice range should be 2x that. So if your max on game range is 30yds. you should practice out to 60yds. The extended range will make any mistakes standout . Helping you to correc...

R.E.D.S Modification

I have seen a reference to the modification of the R.E.D.S. Search of the site has been fruitless. Anybody have a step by step and a brace height after mod. that works best? If this post already exists please direct me to it. Thanks

Re: $1.50 Fix

All my Limbsaver products kind of "melt" or get sticky with time . They are pricy so I have learned to use other stuff. I have a Remmington 700 with a factory Butt pad (made by Limbsaver) That is 10 years old that if fine.

Re: Shooting Distance

Saw Ted Nugent hit a running deer at 70yrds. Dropped like it was hit with a hammer. Dead right there. But he was shooting a recurve. And he is a super hero

Re: My 9 yr old son is ready

My older son is a Airborne Ranger and we started hunting when he was young his first bow hunt was in a ground blind. He could not stay still no matter what. After about 30 min. of trying to get him still I started to have a hard time my self. CHIGGERS ate us alive. I felt like a jerk trying to "...

Re: Crossbow bore sighting

I think you have a great idea .Go for it. I have seen a whole bunch of fixes for things that are not broke. Another one won't matter. I build custom long range rifles and I "Bore Sight" by pulling the bolt and adjusting the scope to the same point on the wall of the shop as I see looking d...

Re: Crossbow bore sighting

Bore sighting "Gets you on paper". I have been shooting bows a while and crossbows a short while. I have been shooting Firearms lots longer . I assure you at 10 yards even with a broken optic/sight you will hit a backstop/ target suitable for sighting in. I suggest a 4ft. by 4 ft. rag targ...

$1.50 Fix

After shooting my 380 about 150 times .I had to quiet It down. I have read all the "they will be hit before they hear it " posts and I do not disagree I just like quiet and hate vibration. That said I like all the energy/speed I can get!! Why detune a race horse? I have heard the stirrup c...

My 9 yr old son is ready

I have the 380 Matrix Blackout for my son and I to hunt with. He can't shoot a vertical bow that's the proper size for hunting. I have blown out discs in my back and my vertical bow is less fun lately. So enter the cross bow. We built a over size rag target (78" tall and 52" wide) to pract...
