Re: backstrap
I agree on both counts ,Back straps and taters w/gravy. And too hot to hunt. Grew up in the North now live in the south .Love bow hunting but our season starts when it is too darn hot to hunt in Sept and ends in late Dec. early Jan. depending on zone. I can't hunt in 75 degree weather and it's 90

Re: Shooting Distance
Why not make it a little more complex, Besides yardage is the target standing still or moving. Hogs hardly stand still. Some deer tend to not stand still during the rut. How much closer for a moving target? ![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Re: Shooting Distance
The question is not weather the bow can kill at a given distance it is can you. I have taken game at distance with gear that was chosen to do so and after lots of practice. Know you gear and know your limits. Only you can know what you can do with your gear. That said 50 yards is where I practice wi...

Re: What cord is used on a C2
Just finished restringing my C2 with Technora 1200 .TwinLine sent me some samples of 750,950 and 1200 Technora Braided line. I requested 9ft samples(samples are normally about 2ft)But Mr. Kiker sent 11ft samples bagged and labeled .Free they even covered shipping. Technora braid is their Kevlar like...

Top Quiver Mount
I want to make my own top quiver mount. How high do the mounts made by others put the quiver. I am going to make one for my 380 Matrix but want a 2 point mount that mounts the quiver side to side like Danny Miller but mounts like a Munch. Much rather start from scratch then modify. It would be for m...

Re: would u shoot him
I let a few walk that I wanted to "GIVE A FEW MORE YEARS" only to have somebody else tag them the same season. Depends on the area you hunt for sure. The only reason I would not shoot him would be if there was a nice doe in range .I hunt meat first . I would love to see my son shoot him fo...

Re: What cord is used on a C2
I forgot to mention When you deburr the holes remove the handle (remove the allen screw) and slide the shaft out enough to apply gun oil to the shaft. Re string the handle side first then reinstall the handle putting a drop of locktite on the threads .Knott the ends the same way as the stock string ...

Re: What cord is used on a C2
I have samples on the way from Twinline-USA in 750lb. ,950lb., and 1200lb.I requested 9 ft. long samples for full function test and their return e-mail said that it was on the way FREE. My goal is to make the 1200 work with a few extra wraps on the drums to take the strain off the string where it go...

Re: What cord is used on a C2
I took my C2 apart .Just can't leave well enough alone  Her is what I found. Holes gauge at .125 String is 8ft 2in. long String is really hard to measure dia. If the 750 lb. test is what is being used I would not go below that size .Boo knows what he is doing and this backs up Danny Mill...

Re: What cord is used on a C2
Dave, I got your Pm. I will post here for all to read. I read on this forum that someone heard the line was 600lb test. I am looking for a "official" rating on this. I realize that a bigger line will affect the force needed to crank due to the geometry of the wheels. In this case the 600 l...

What cord is used on a C2
Any one know what type and size cord is used on a C2 crank cocker. I have found a source for 600 ,750 ,950 lb. test braided Kevlar and Spectra cord .in dia. around .080 to .110 Cost about $40 for 250 ft. I would rather the stronger if possible .Just need a base line on strength. I can measure the st...

Re: NAP 125 gr Spitfire
Awesome feedback. I chose to stay with the stock Diablos as the season opened here already and I am out of fiddle time. 125 gr heads with the Diablos give me 375 gr total and Excalibur sells 100 gr mechanicals(total of 350 gr) so I have a little more FOC which can't hurt .We can take 13 deer each(my...

NAP 125 gr Spitfire
Anybody shooting 125 gr Spitfire 3 blade out of a 380? My bow guy suggested them. I already shoot them out of my vertical bow at 265fps with great results and own a bunch. They are the standard not the crossbow type .He has never done me wrong and I got the 380 from him. He lost a sale because I was...
