Re: Store Bought Scents

I've tried a lot of the scents out there, never really had much luck with them--have yet to pop the top on a bottle of estrous and have a buck come crashing through 2 minutes later lol. Re: Broadheads

The stingers, buzz-cuts and the ss snuffers are true COC BH'S that fly true and life time warranty, folks should pull them up and read what they have to offer #1 in the BH department to me.
X2. The 4-blade Stingers fly really great for me, and they are heck on a whitetail.

Re: Ghost blinds

Just had a thought... if you want to try the DIY approach, check with any local glass and window shops in your area, they often also work with polycarbonate sheet. I built a shooting house this spring, was able to snag some 1/4" thick Lexan pieces that were cut-offs from other jobs, used it to ...

Re: Ghost blinds

X2 on the cost, I'd like to have one too but just can't make myself cough up that much for one. There's a video on youtube of a guy making his own, might be an option if you're pretty handy with a few tools? No idea on the cost of materials though, may end up not being worth the time. http://www.you...

Re: Starting at 30yds?

Agreed, you just have to find what works for you and stick with it, and *practice* with that setup so you know what it's gonna do when the big one walks by :D

Re: Starting at 30yds?

I shoot a single red dot, no magnification, zeroed at 30. Inside of 25 it's a little high, at 40 its a couple inches low but still very workable with a little hold over. 40 is pretty much the limit I place on shot distance. Anything beyond that, I just watch 'em. Longest shot I've had with it was 34...
