Re: Tact Zone Scope Problems (2nd time)
I have the Shadow Zone on my Equinox, only complaint is the cheesy plastic scope caps rather than the nice fitted rubber ones... I only use Leupold Vari X models on all my rifles though. Lifetime warranty, never had one fog up or go out of adjustment yet..

Broadhead Accuracy
Who makes the closest match to my 150 grain field points? I've tried four or five different types and the only one I have found to shoot within an inch or two of my field points are the Carbon Express "Triple Threat" 125 grain Broadheads. I want something with at least the same inch and a ...

Re: AM or PM?
Personally, I leave right before it gets light, slow, quiet walk into my stand. I have always had the upper hand because of the surprise factor, they just don't seem to expect anybody walking around their house at this time.. Think of it like somebody coming into your home, what time would you least...

Re: Brace Height Measurement
mine is inch and a quarter on my equinox, it was probably closer to inch and a half when I first replaced it. It seems like it takes quite a few shots in order to determine what it will finally relax at, This is just my own experience, not saying it pertains to your particular situation?

Re: just aint seeing any deer..
I know with the Muleys around here, have to be in the stand right before it gets light out.. Any later, the surprise factor is quickly eliminated...

Re: New crossbow in the making?
I owned the Equinox "The Beast", but sold it to purchase my Matrix 355. Power between the Equinox and Matrix 355 is pretty much splitting hairs. I wanted a more compact platform for ladder stands, permanent hunting blinds and easier for my daughter. No way is the Equinox outdated. Too me ...

Re: New crossbow in the making?
I can't see a 380 being out-dated. When Excal wants to bring out their new stuff we'll all know, lol. In the past, 380/355 excluded, that's been at the ATA show[s] in Jan. Don't know how much truth their is to it, he was saying their dropping a good portion of the lineup, everything will be 18 inch...

New crossbow in the making?
I was inquiring about purchasing the Matrix 380 today, was told by the owner of the business that he was at a seminar that stated they are making a faster crossbow yet; capable of 400 fps, they are in the process of perfecting it. Is this rumour or is there some truth to it? Don't want to spend 1200...

Re: faulty cocking aid
A no- brainer hey Peter, well that might be asking somebody to ship their cocking aid my way, that is what I would do if in your shoes; just saying... We have sold hundreds of thousands of our rope cocking aid and I have never seen one cause the problem you described except when used incorrectly. Ho...

Re: faulty cocking aid
East to see what happened. The only possible way to get the rope cocker to touch the rail, as illustrated in your pictures is to have the rope over the safety. It happens a lot, it happens fast and it will cause the issue you described. It is physically impossible for the rope cocker to touch the r...

Re: faulty cocking aid
I took a close look at mine and determined that the only way for the hook assembly to touch the rail is for the rope to be out of the slot on the rear. Period. You might have started with it in the slot, but it probably slipped out one time and ended up behind the safety. This could be done without...

Re: faulty cocking aid
Simple is better, simple minded, simply trying to figure out why siderail on my thousand dollar crossbow is gouged; yes indeed. I tried to use it incorrectly by looping it around the scope mount, guess what, wouldn't even latch into the trigger assembly. I think a guy might notice that one eh? A no-...

Re: faulty cocking aid
I spent a little time this evening before I went out trying to recreate the issue.. its not possible unless you hook it in a manner that the handle is in between the rail and hook..then when you pull it the hook will make this scratch.. I think Peter is right on with his call.. how and why would yo...
