Re: Dadgum weather

Well, I've been called way worse than a fool in my life, and I'll tell you right now that I have one of those rare gals who does NOT want to be the boss, and she will tell you so!!! :D Ironically, she's a natural leader and can even muster the "take no prisoners" attitude when those rare t...

Re: Deer n Seein Them

You won't find me being a (big) cheer leader for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as far as the hunting side of things go, but I wouldn't go that far. "Killing out all of our deer" is a non sequitur. I actually think that they have done a better than average job at managing the deer h...

Re: Deer n Seein Them

VM, sorry that I misunderstood your post. Sounded to me me like you were lamenting not being in Mississippi anymore. You comment about "decent deer" was the clincher, but maybe you were talking about numbers and not size or antlers.

Re: 0.001 vs 0.003 arrows

I'm not arguing here, just asking: How do you know this to be true? The owner of BEA told me that and I told newbie. I have no reason to not believe him. When I first bough the arrows for the test (BEA was unaware that the arrows were bought for a public test), I measured them and most 0.003" ...

Re: 0.01 vs 0.03 arrows

When these are sorted at the factory, anything over .001" goes to the .003", anything over that is not sold. Many of the .003" are not that exhibiting that much runout! I have many, many hours shooting both, and I'm not that good of a shot in any conditions to notice a difference. I ...

Re: Deer n Seein Them

VM, no decent public land up there? Arkansas is LOADED with it! You might have to get an out of state tag and come down. Seriously: all those videos that I posted are public land right next to the capitol city of Arkansas. Lots of folks frown on public land, but at least in THIS state, there ...

Re: String care

X2 on that. IMHO, the 380 is a slick outfit stock, but for me at least, the trigger is too heavy and has too much creep. Do I think that I'll do any better or worse in my hunting? Absolutely not. But, I will enjoy shooting more, and that in itself is a plus. Another plus is that it should add to the...

Re: OT - Live Long and Prosper

I was living in Corpus Christi (my home town) when Star Trek hit the air waves, in 6th grade. My grampa was a quiet, intelligent guy who didn't say much, but when he did, it mattered. He had two favorite shows until Star Trek came out. Jackie Gleason and !awrence Welk!!!! He LOVED Star Trek,...

Right, and just as with a regular bow or a muzzleloader, that's why you better make that first shot count!
