Just quoting what you said brother, and agreeing with you by the way! Your last sentence in that post was "Just to much politic's involved in what should be reasonable game laws."

Re: How loud is a crankaroo
Still, I will totally agree that cocking your bow just after you've made a shot will probably do no more to spook deer withing earshot of those two sounds. That seams like logic to me. But, I don't know anout the climbing part. Well, let me explain it better ... I crank mine to the cocked position ...

Re: Attempting Bolts
I asked a CO 2 days ago why we couldn't shoot suckers with a cross bow and the answer was that when they shot with their compound it was turned down to around 20 lbs and they felt a cross bow was over kill. I asked him if he didn't think a 338 , 7mm mag., 300 mag or bigger wasn't a little over kill...

Re: How loud is a crankaroo
Man, you were lucky!  On the noise thing, I have watched a buck stand perfectly still after a bullet, make that TWO bullets went zinging right over the top of his neck and hit the dirt behind him, followed of course by the report of the .308. It wasn't that he wasn't scared (I think) a...

Re: Bolts and fletching
I have only shot the stock Diablos that come with the package, and until I got a Rinehart target, every shot was buried at least to the knock, usually much worse. Many times, the shaft was so deep in the 22" thick target that I could not find or get to the nock to use the screw in puller, so I ...

Re:
Somewhere I read a deer can hear a car door shut at 1/2 mi and a twig the diameter of a pencil break at a 1/4 mi. Loud is an opinion, lol. People are always putting this or that on what deer can or can't do, because they heard it from someone who heard it from someone, and on and on. I me...

Re: They just don't get it!
Nobody has said anything about the American society in general. We were taught at a VERY young age that all men were "sir" and all women "ma'am", unless said person told you otherwise. These days and in any store, half the male employees address me as "man" or "dud...

Re: Crossbow bubble level
Use the level and improve your accuracy. To say you can cant either a compound or crossbow without changing poi is absurd. Some people are minimalists and that's fine, but don't say it's bells and whistles making no difference. That's simply untrue. Find ANYWHERE in my post that I said the above, a...
