How did I do?..
I have been looking for a Matrix 355 for a while. I came across one for the sum of $400 in basically new condition, it also came with 12 diablos and 3 Muzzy Trocar broadheads a case and all of the necessary extras. It needed a new string which I happened to have a couple laying around for this serie...

Re: Justanuff CUB-POWED him!!!!
Hello to all! Yes a most memorable hunt and it's less than 10 minutes from my house is suburbia! Been hunting this private property for a number of years with my share of stolen stands and trespassers, duck and goose hunters. For the most part only hunted it on weekends on would see some nice deer h...

Re: Montec CS accuracy problem
IMO I would try and get some spine matched and indexed arrows... Or shoot aluminum shafts.. I have a Cub and couldn't get great broadhead groups with any Carbon arrows until I built my spine indexing jig or used 2219 shafts.. Now my broadhead arrows don't shoot the same as field points, however they...

Re: #1 RULE OF CROSSBOW SAFETY with pics
Never say that it can't happen more than once to someone. I was in the emergency room a couple of years ago as my son had broken his collar bone playing football.. There was a guy in there who had done this 3 times being that time in emergency was the third... Ouch!!!!!

Rocket Ultimate Steel 125gr fixed blade.. I bought a boatload of them from a guy on ebay who was the original designer and owner of Rocket.. He sold them for $1.25 a piece and I bought 42 of them and enough blades to make twice that many up... For the first couple of years I gave a lot of them away ...

First good sized doe gets an arrow. Usually out of venison by the opener so hunt for the freezer first then I get selective... Have yet to go out on a sit and not have a shot opportunity.. So many deer this year and have hunted just half a dozen times and could have killed a pile if wanted... Just l...

My son traveled from Northern Michigan to come help down there. He is a lineman and has worked on many storms.. This will be the first hurricane he has ever had to go through though... Re: Won a new crossbow...
I would put new strings and cables on it. Those bows were known for popping the stings and cables as they are crap from the factory. I would order a set from 60X and have them put on and then I would feel safe enough to shoot it. Just what I have seen on other forums...

It's not important, far less of an issue than true spinning heads and spine alignment of your arrows.

Re: Aligning Broadheads with Fletchings
Never soak carbon shafts in acetone it can greatly weaken the shafts as it can affect the glue that holds the carbon fibers together. Secondly, it has been proven over and over that alignment of the broadhead has no impact on broadhead performance. So don't sweat it. The bigger issues are if the spi...

The most important sentence in any response you will have right here....Normous wrote: Always test your broadheads and DO not assume that they will hit to the same POI as field points.

How much money are you sending downrange?
I am sort of a cheapskate but also expect high performance from my equipment. I am shooting Rocket brand broadheads (American made not knock-offs) that I bought off e-bay for around $1.50 per head on GT Laser II shafts that I bought on clearance and put together myself for less than $5 per arrow. Pl...
