Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

Oh, I know. I've contacted both Danny and Peter in the past with stuff, and they've never failed. So, back to my very original question...Am I hurting the bow at all by not using string stops? Ain't worried about noise and such. The deer doesn't care if he heard a noise the moment the broadhead touc...

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

And of course I've made mistakes. Do it all the time. FYI, drew back my vertical compound bow this year and thankfully noticed I didn't have an arrow nocked. Was about to shoot and somehow just happened to notice. Probably would have had cams, strings, and whatnot littering my basement.

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

About the cost/warranty factor of installing them on every bow. So you're saying if someone dry fires their bow and damages the limbs, that's warrantable? Excalibur covers a customer's negligence?

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

I hear what everyone is saying. My main issue is, if the ADF and the string stops are so "crucial" and must-have items, why in the world is the 355 package sold without them? Makes no sense. From what you guys are saying, I can agree...Murphy's Law, right? Why would Excalibur not put these...

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

Another analogy. Do you take a leak before dropping your pants? I haven't pissed on myself in the past 35 years. Who brushes their teeth before putting on toothpaste? I'm not being a smart ass. I'm literally saying that like with a lot of things in life, there are certain sequences that you go throu...

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

No, seriously. Tell me how someone dry fires their bow if it's cocked and immediately put on safe. Impossible. I would have to forget to put it on safe in order to dry fire. I don't forget to put the car in D before driving. I think it's an error to say that everyone WILL dry fire their bow.

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

Not going to bother with the ADF unit. Not sure how folks dry fire these things. I've got a ritual down. Cock it and immediately, first thing, is put it on safe. It's like putting your car in D before you hit the gas.

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

I'll probably pick us some of Danny's. Now what about the stock string? Is it going to be the same one I had on my Axiom?

Re: Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

Well, like I said, if they are only for noise and vibration, then I don't want them. If it's a function thing that's "better" for the bow, then I'm onboard.

Gettin' a 355. Couple questions.

I'm the guy that posted about my Axiom a few months ago. Was shooting low, had to shim the front scope ring to correct. Anyway, I've since passed that bow on to my bro, and he's tickled with it. Me, I'm particular, and never did like that fact that I was having to shim things. Peter offered for me t...

Re: Why is my PM staing in Outbox?

Thanks. Didn't know that's how the PM deal works. Was thinking it's like email...when it leaves the server, it's gone, regardless of whether someone read it or not.

Re: Where to aim?

Yeah, I'm good to go on visualizing the arrow trajectory and such...was just wondering about being up in a tree and the true distance being greater than ground distance.
