Target
Over here in the UK with not being able to hunt, there seems a total lack of UK made targets that can cope with bows such as the 380 I have , even the crossbow fed. Over here takes a dim view of them and has no place for them in competition. While that's all well and good as I have plenty of use pla...

Re: VixenII
Mmm got a point their wheelie thanks. As a point of interest how does the Phoenix stack against the 380 in the cocking cycle, is it much easier or just a little? I don't know.

Re: VixenII
Thank you it helps a lot, as I really do appreciate your opinions which are based on experience that I just don't have it's invaluable in making my next move, the apex as well as the vixen are receiving some attention, what I do know is, if I don't add a lighter cocking/hitting bow my summer-time se...

I have my new 380 it's currently my only crossbow and it's use is target practice only unless I ever do get over your way. I don't mind that's all it's going to get used for but it does present a few issues, nothing I wasn't aware of, one is that over a session it tells on my joints with repeated co...

Re: Questions on buying Matrix 380
Hi Ronnie I've just had a 380 and only cocked it bout ten times as yet, I think you will be fine, it's like as been described on here before just when it starts to get harder to pull its over and done with, just enjoy and go easy and smoothly with no sudden jerking with that iffy shoulder. One more t...

Re: Scope Cant
I know that feeling only too well, I have been devastated when mine have passed on, not had a dog for nigh on 10 years now but we had them for 30, I miss them more than my wife does but then I did all the walking and training so you do get more attached, had some great times and lots of laughs too, ...

Hey snuffbox just noticed your cool picture, we had a bulldog when we first got married, Samson we called him. Great character do you by chance have one?

Re: Scope Cant
Yes I know eye alignment is important that's why I have the custom cheek pieces on my field target guns to help me get my face up against the stock at the same point every time but scope cant is a different thing from that, thanks for the advice though, oh and on the cover you mention the field targ...

Don't know how many others have tried to fit a spirit level on their crossbows but I'm going to give it a go. I've used them with good effect on my target air rifles and I'm guessing it might help eliminate canting the crossbow when I'm using the mil-dot type 30,40,50,60 markers in the tact-zone, it...

Re: Wild turkey
Thanks for that, it sounds delicious, I don't think I would fancy tucking into a plate of roast turkey that had been getting a fill on pig poop, But in general I think I can gather what the flavour is like, I've had farm yard free range chicken and that differs from commercial free range chick...

Re: Wild turkey
Thanks all, it just had me wondering, lousy weather and dark early evenings have me musing over things I wouldn't give a thought to in summer, guess it's the English version of cabin fever  from the input I can guess it's pretty much like the farmed bird in taste, obviously what it's feeding on...

Wild turkey
Hi, as we have no wild turkey running round in England so there is no chance of potting one so I can try it, I got to wondering how it compares to farmed turkey such as we have over here, is there any of you tried a comparison, Any big difference in taste or texture between the two?
