Re: Extra limbs
For what it’s worth I got the whole front end assembly for my M380. So much easier to change that out than replacing just the limbs. Like others have said never used it but when I go out of state hunting I like the piece of mind.

Re: Shooting Stick Types
My choice when hunting from the ground has always been a mono pod. I use it as a walking stick and then when I get to my hunting spot I collapse it down to the size I need. I’m always sitting. I’ve never shot a deer while standing. The mono pod I feel has more left to right movement and up and down ...

Re: matrix 380
Wow I thought Excalibur stopped making bows after the Matrix 380. Unfortunately for Sporting Goods companies I’m the worst kind of customer. The one and done kind. I still have and Hunt with my Old Mathews Outback compound bow. It’s an oldie but goodie. I did upgrade the trigger on my Matrix when th...

Re: Expanded my my Culinary techniques
Oh you poor poor soul. The best advise I can give you is to run it over, burn it then bury it deep. The world as you know it is about to change. Your waist line will simply continue to expand. If your not robust you will be by next Hunting season. Smoked meats are but mere child’s play. Think smoked...

Re: Annual venison dinner will happen
I saw your post about the Christmas Venison dinner. We also have Venison for Christmas. I’m including a YouTube link for a Christmas Wellington. We started substituting A Back Strap for the beef. I usually cut a backstrap in half and make 2 Venison Wellington’s. Be prepared this is easy to make but ...

Re: One reason I own a Excalibur
I got lucky. Ct. changed the X-Bow law a few years back. I went to the same archery shop I purchased my compound bow from. I had my mind set on a 10 point. It was expensive but I figured you get what you pay for. He showed me the bow I was interested in but suggested I look at an Excalibur Phoenix. ...

Re: Which heated vest??
Owl Creek. I got an email from voltheat.com they are going to be offering an upgraded battery for the vest. Basically the vest will now have a remote control. Mine did not have that feature. Whenever I wanted to adjust the heat I had to unzip my outer layer coat reach into the pocket where the batte...

Re: Which heated vest??
VOLT. That is the name of the company. I purchased the camo vest and the heated sock liners. I upgraded to the larger capacity batteries for both. I my opinion they were well worth the money. I bought a couple of pairs of Under Armor tactical socks. They’re lightweight and calf high. I put them on f...

Thanks for the info. I just watched a you tube video where Gordon Ramsey shot and then cooked up a wild boar. That guy can cook for me anytime.

Re: Still Hunting Hogs
I’m curious. Do you guys eat the hogs. I’ve read they can carry some pretty nasty disease. I plan on hunting some in Florida and was hoping they’d be ok to have a barbecue with.

Re: To pee or not to pee
Ok Ok Ok. Good discussion now let’s get down to brass tacks. When do you guys (or I guess we can reverse it GALS) do when nature calls and you’re hunting with your granddaughter or grandson Lol. Now there is an exercise in logistics. Lol. Sorry really don’t mean to highjack your thread.

Re: Having a hard time finding zero
Glad you found the problem. Noting worse than making that last practice shot to verify zero before you put the bow up for the next days hunt, only tho have your arrow fly off into never never land because of a loose screw. (No pun intended). Lol.
