Re: Guilty Of Being Tasty!

Yep, I kill for the meat first and foremost. Its what we used to have to do. Its how my wife grew up too. They didnt have meat so her dad went and would go kill a deer or the family. Its the reason if IT ever goes down, I will and can provide for my family by living off the land. And dang do I love ...

I don't. Curious about it all. I had someone else make all of my arrows and do all of that to them.

Re: Slicktricks Don't Spin True

Man I got a herd of some buck, some huge ones too, going to go hunt them this Tuesday through Friday. Going to try for a monster buck and doe in the evenings then turkey hunt in the mornings. Going to fill the freezer up and try for a nice mount.

Re: Slicktricks Don't Spin True

How do I know if they spend true? Not sure how to do that or if you need the right equipment. I got good custom arrows and just bought 6 new slick tricks. Going deer hunting next week and want to make sure all is well. It does seem they have a slight gap bewteen the insert and blades and it's screwe...

Thanks folks. Yea it comes in the 6th and I will be out there 3 days later. Hunting over on my inlaws and boy are there some monster bucks over there plus turkeies. I plan on getting a couple deer plus a turkey. If all 100 variables fall into place I can get it done. I'm pumped!

shooting from an elevated position/tree stand

Sorry guys, I have not been on in a while. Had a new baby, working tons of hours, fishing of course and deer scouting. This will be the first time hunting deer with a crossbow and never did with a bow. I have a 380. I killed a turkey with spring with it and now going after deer, lots of deer meat. T...

Re: Spring Turkey with 380!

Anyone do any fall turkey hunting? I thought while I deer hunt if I saw a turkey I would harvest it too but now thinking about trying a few fall turkey hunts. Read some and it seem like it would be a blast. Seems like it would be harder than spring hunting and it was hard.

Re: Spring Turkey with 380!

Thanks. I am def addicted to turkey hunting now. Boy are they some beautiful birds and smart. Learned a ton trying to hunt them. Hitting it this afternoon and the next then done until the fall. Cannot wait to stock up on deer meat and hopefully kill a turkey or two. The 380 is def a beast!

Spring Turkey with 380!

http://i59.tinypic.com/2j51lie.jpg Finally got me a turkey today. First one I have ever killed, first time ever really turkey hunting, only 3 days left, been almost every day and some twice, and to top it off took him down with my matrix 380. Let me tell you, one heck of a kill too. I expected him ...
