Re: Question about AZ Bolt

May want to try and re-fletch those 4 just for giggles and see if it makes any difference. Rotate the shaft some when you do, sometimes a minor change is all it takes ?

Re: Lead Sled

I have owned 2 lead sleds and a couple of plastic wanta be's over the years. I think they are by far the best. Wish I had them in my shooting houses and tree stands !!!!!!!!!

Re: Excalibur Matrix 405 broadheads

I tried the Grim Reaper 100's xbows and Ram Cat 100's, both hit within 1" of same POA at 40 yds. as the field points.

Re: Keeping your toys sharp

I have had one for 3 years, liked it so much I bought a second one for my fish camp. Like you said, once you learn the do's and don'ts, it produces a razor sharp edge quickly. Pick up an extra pack of belts to get you over the learning curve and it will serve you well.

Re: Killing Time w/ the 405

Excalibur is sending a replacement Twilight DLX for the one that failed. Hope it was just a defective scope. I really liked the DLX the short time I used it, it was dead on to 60 yds. once sighted in and the speed set. It was clear, bright, and appeared to gather good light. Will most likely put it ...

Re: Killing Time w/ the 405

That is what I am thinking. I will try some 18" Diablo's with 100 gr points just to see how much difference less weight will make. My replacement scope should be here tomorrow, then I can start sighting in all over again. What fun this is !

Re: cabin fever question

Can't say about the 380, but my 405 did 410 to 412 with 352+/- gr. set up and 398 to 399 with 375+/-gr. set up and 389 to 390 with 405+/- gr. set up.

Killing Time w/ the 405

While I am waiting on my replacement scope (Twilight DXL) for my 405 to arrive, I decided to try a Nikon 3 x 9 x 50 BDC just for fun. Took one off of a TC Barrel and used some old Weaver 1" mount I had laying around. Sighted it in and started playing around. The results thus far were as follows...

Re: Twight DXL Scope

My problem is I am leaving for a hog hunt in Georgia on Thursday and the 405 was my weapon of choice. May have to take a rifle, it just takes a lot of the challenge and thrill out of the hunt. :(

Twilight DLX Scope

The scope on my new (less than 1 week old) Matrix 405 gave it up this afternoon. First it would not hole a zero, though it just my shooting. Then the little O-Ring in the front lens popped out and things went cloudy. Now it will not focus and is almost snow white. Not good ! I sent an e-mail to Exca...

Re: Removing Matrix Stock

Thanks ComfyBear , I just removed the stock per your instructions and found both screws finger loose. Tightened them up, no more movement in the assembly. Will shoot later today and I expect my sub 1" groups to return @ 40 yds. I believe except for inside the trigger assembly, every screw on my...

Re: Mechanical broadheads.....

I bought some Grim Reaper X-Bow 100 gr. At 40yds. they hit same POI as my field points out of the 405 Matrix with 18" BEE's. The 100gr. Ram-Cats also hit same POI as field tips @ 40yds.
