Re: Removing Matrix Stock
Thanks, I will give that a try and see if I just didn't put enough pressure on the stock the first time I removed those screws. Yesterday when I was shooting, I noticed my groups starting to spread and most of the arrows were starting to hit high. Hope this solves the problem ?

Removing Matrix Stock
Is there a secret to removing the stock form the rail ? I have noticed some movement in the entire scope/trigger assembly if you rock the scope up and down. The entire unit moves within the stock. I tightened the two screws underneath, one by the trigger and the other on the forearm. This did not he...

Matrix Owners FYI
After reviewing the instructional video (needs much updating) I was curious about the procedure of removing the rubber limb shims and then unstringing the bow for the off season. Knowing the Matrix does not have the rubber pads, I contacted Excalibur about this. The reply was simply just unstring th...

Re: 405 String Matainance
I think the plastic sleeve was to grab (keep string from cutting into your fingers) and hand cock without the use of a cocking rope. Don't think Excal ever tried that on the heavy Matrix series. I can barley lift the string enough to get the rope cocker on it. Someone at Excal needs to update the in...

Re: Slow motion crossbow
I have been on the exploding end of this type of equipment twice. That is why I say I am a former member of the "Wheels, Cables and Exploding Limbs Club" and the very reason why I bough an Excalibur.

More 405 Testing Today
Started shooting the new BEE's with 100 gr. points today. Shot 4- 100gr field tips through the C-Graph. Results were 400 fps, 399fps, 399fps and 398fps. Screwed on two 100 gr. Grim Reaper practice heads and shot them through the C-Graph. Results were 396fps and 397fps. The center of the C-Graph was ...

Re: 405 String Matainance
Yes, I did use the Excalibur stringing aid and my rope cocker. There are several things that make this a little more difficult for me than just cocking the bow. 1) I have shoulder problems when I try to do something over head or above my shoulder line, lets just say it will make me almost wet my pan...

405 String Matainance
You ain't lived till you try to unstring the BEAST. If there was ever a need for a C2, I think I just had a real life experience as to why I will order me one ! Maybe I did something wrong, Bill made it look so easy on his video. Only thing I can figure is we all need a humbling experience from time...

Re: 405 Testing
Going to give them a try tomorrow. I also forgot to mention that I shot some 20" Easton XX75 4" fletch with 100 gr. field points. Started with 6 arrows, 4 grouped together and the other 2 grouped together just not at the same POI. Shot the 4 at 30 yds. and they grouped about 1"+/-. Th...

405 Testing
Tried to up load some photo's (1 at a time) of the groups I shot today, site said file size was too big ? Anyway 18" Diablos w/150 gr field points consistently hitting 1" orange peel and stick dots at 30 yds. This was after weeding out the shafts that just would not group. Moved target to ...

New 405
My new 405 arrived this afternoon. I immediately put it together and was able to get in a few shots before it got too dark. Started by getting some chronograph data to start the site in process. Using the supplied 18" Diablo's weighting in @ 251 gr. +/- less points. 100gr field tip # 1 = 412 FP...
