It sounds like you are looking at the more traditional muzzle loaders. That is where my interests are. I have never shot one of the in-line types. Yes I own two flintlocks, and have owned several others in the past. I love em, but I really am a traditionalist. They take more persistance to get good ...

I had the same problem with my Exomag till I ordered a couple of strings from BJ. Been shooting the same string now for several hundred shots and is just now beginning to show a little wear, but is still quite usable. Just be sure to wax it every 30-40 shots. BJ's strings are more durable than any I...

The Richard that asked about rifle vs. crossbow is a different person than Falcon. He has posted since and is a guy with legitimate questions. He's not "The Troll" and has said so. Please reread the posts.

I own an Exomag, but got it as a result of a mistake on the part of the company that I ordered from. I ordered an Exocet they sent the Mag instead. I kept it. I love the Mag, but have considered trying to trade it for an Exocet but have gotten used to it. I love the accuracy and speed, and with hunt...

New Broadhead

I recently came across a new Broadhead that I am going to try out. From what I can gather this head is just coming on the market after field testing. A three blade replaceable with cut on impact point. I read an independent test and it got good marks. www.americanbroadhead.com Tell me what you think.

I have done some experimenting with brace height. High and low. But for me I have found that my Exomag performs best when the string is right on the scribe mark. It seem quieter, and shot to shot is more consistant. It may be my imagination, but I've been checking this closely. I think that every bo...

I am curious. I see that you just registered to this forum today, and your first post was to tell us that you were now dissatisfied with crossbow hunting. Why bother? Were you hoping to start a controversy? I have hunted with a "Real" bow for over 30 years. When I say Real Bow, I'm talking...

One essential that I always include is a roll of toilet paper. It is one of the most useful items that I know of. Aside from the obvious purpose, it is a good fire starter material. It can be layered inside your hat or gloves for additional insulation. It makes a great trail marker, and if its the b...

I have had my Exomag for about 6 months. In that time, I have shot three Robin Hoods from 40 yards. In thirty years of shooting vertical bow I have only done it once before. I am a slow learner  so now shoot at different spots on the target. Generally, I can keep inch and a half to two inch gr...
