I'm just waiting to see what kind of response there is from the U.N. and all of the other countries around the world that complained because the United States only gave a few paltry billion for the Tsunami relief. Haven't even heard any verbal response yet.

Thanks for the replies. I had already looked at the Rancho Safari Shaggies. There was an article in the latest issue of Field & Stream where the writer advocates the Ghillie suit for ground hunting. I am considering the Shaggie Mini. Coupled with good Predator camo should be a great setup.

I have been using the Rocky Mt. Snyper mechanicals. They work great, and have a 1 3/8 cutting diameter when open. I got a supply of dental bands that seem to be a lot stronger and cheaper than the manufacturers bands. Get them from any orthodontist. They deploy perfectly every time.

Ghillie Suit

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried a Ghillie suit when hunting. They are the best camo I've ever seen, but look like they would be difficult to manuever in.

Makes you wonder about some of the crazy laws on the books. In Arkansas, you may hunt crows during the open season, but only Thursday through Monday. Does that make any sense? I some times wonder who is in charge of the assylum? :(

I've had my Exomag for two years and wouldn't trade it for anything. As far as the the trigger pull, Who ever said that it was a hard pull must have been drinking his own bath water. It may not be a custom rifle trigger, but it is smooth and crisp. Best trigger on the market IMO. I've shot other bra...

I picked some up a couple of days ago. Haven't shot them yet because I discovered right from the start that they are not for me. The head that I got were dead dull. I couldn't disassemble the head to get the blades out for sharpening, and couldn't find any replacement blades anyway. These will just ...

Arkansas has allowed crossbows for any legal season since 1973.

Greywolf, Nice looking setup. Question about your arrows. I noticed that you place your fletching much further back on the shaft than I do. Does that make a difference, or is that just your preference? The rear of my fletching is about an inch and a half from the nock, and has always served me well,...

17/1000s does seen thin by today's standards, but I have some old Wasp Cam-Locs and their blades were 15/1000. I took an elk with one of these several years ago. It went through a rib on the near side and stopped in the shoulder on the off side. Blades remained intact and sharp. So I think that they...

Ted Nugent w/Excalibur

I just watched an episode of Ted Nugent's show on the Outdoor Channel where he used and Excalibur crossbow to take an Oryx on his place in Texas. Good segment.!!

Thanks for the information Greywolf. I may give them a try. Have never used them. Deadeye. I just think that they look good. After reading the thread on fletching, and looking at the pictures, I really thought that some of the crested arrows were sharp. Being an individual you know.

I have a Bear Victor Takedown circa 1976 with the metal riser, 65#@ 28 inches. I bought it new back then. Best recurve that I ever owned, and I have owned a bunch, even a couple of customs. I have taken 3 elk and too many deer to remember with that bow. I hope you have good luck in finding a buyer. ...

Arrow wraps

Was just wondering if the arrow wraps have to be peeled off when you replace vanes? If so are they hard to remove and can you get the shaft clean enough to replace the vanes?
