Our area was one of those hit by the tornadoes Tuesday evening. It hit here about 5:30 PM. Went through a small town about 8 miles west of my home. A lot of destruction, 1 fatality. The lady that died was the wife of one of my co-workers. It will take quite a while to clean up and start rebuilding, ...

Another Dog House Question
I bought a Dog House blind this past season, and am very happy with it. Very easy to put up and not too bad to take down, once you get the hang of it. This makes it easy to relocate if you need to. I needed to a couple of times. My question. Do they make shoot through mesh that covers the whole wind...

I am using florecent chartreuse vanes, so that hasn't helped. I looked into the lighted nocks, but read some poor reviews on them and wasn't sure I wanted to put out the bucks if it didn't work. Has anyone here tried them? If they do work, they might be worth a try. I could check after dark and mayb...

keep losing arrows
I hunt from a ground blind because I really don't feel comfortable in high places. I've had good success from the ground, but I have a very had time locating my arrows after the shot. I have a great hunting spot, but it's covered in brush and knee high grass. With pass through shots, which they alwa...

Visitor in the Yard
I peeked out my spam window this morning and noticed that I had this beautiful little visitor. She hung around for about 15 minutes watching my cat, who was watching her. Then she just ambled off into the woods. We have a resident group of 4-5 does and fawns that wander around out here year round. I...

My small 8 point
This is the nice little 8 point that I got last week with my Exomag. I had a great broadside shot at 38 yards. I was sitting in a ground blind and the buck apparently saw something because he was looking right at me for several seconds. I decided it was now or never, so squeezed the trigger, and jus...

Unusual Turkey
I was in a ground blind, opening day of muzzle loading season, when this group of turkeys came righ by me. They are all hens and the light colored one is what they call a Grey Phase. She is not an albino, but a very pale grey color. You can see all of the normal markings on the feathers. Wildlife of...
