Re: One TOUGH shaft !!

Hi Ryan, Yes one hell of a shaft, toughest and stiffest you're likely to find I feel, due to that thick wall. Still shooting very well, yet to bust one and that's saying something where I shoot, bit of an arrow/bolt grave yard. I got them through Outdoor hobbies, had to wait three weeks though. Gary...

One TOUGH shaft !!

Just thought I'd share my findings with this shaft/bolt with you hunters. I have the M405 and was shooting the factory Diablo bolts but I found them to be less durable than I'd like, breaking them left right and center tbh. So looking for a tougher heavier shaft I bought 24 GT Laser IV shafts and co...

Re: Trigger Tech now fitted in my Mega 405

I quote "confident engineer " Call me slow but I'm not sure what you mean by quoting that ? It sure doesn't take a confident engineer to put in a trigger tech unit,, I just had to comment ,,, I never did meet a unconfident engineer.. O well I'll let you go ride your ego see ya I was not r...

Re: Trigger Tech now fitted in my Mega 405

FG is sending me a replacement unit and I'm returning this unit for inspection. All I tried, as per FG's advice, has not improved things, in fact it actually got worse, sticking on the first stage, not returning when released. Thank you Trigger Tech for getting this out to me so quickly, I'll let yo...

Re: Excalibur Diablo 18" bolts ... I'm not that impressed!

In regards to the T-Handle arrow puller, I don't care for them. Since getting the Danny Miller plier pullers that's all I use...actually ordered a second pair that lives with my 3D gear. I don't like having to screw into the back of the shaft and have actually gone to plastic flat nocks. I prefer t...

Excalibur Diablo 18" bolts ... I'm not that impressed!

As it says, I'm not that impressed! I personally don't think they are that durable tbh and was wondering what you guys think ?? Two things, one I see the odd fracture after a while shooting into a Rinehart Xbow unloader used as a target and my old 3D turkey. Plus I found the odd bolt would shed it's...

Trigger Tech now fitted in my Mega 405

Hi again all. I said I'd get back as soon as my Trigger Tech target unit had arrived and fitted in my M 405. Well it's fitted and what a transformation! .... Fitting was a doddle once I'd shifted the sight rail screws. As others have noted they are pretty tight from the factory but after I'd removed...

Re: Excalibur Matrix Mega 405 .. My findings / thoughts so f

I shoot an M380 and love the two stage 1.5lbs TT target trigger. I do some long range shooting (out to 100 meters) and certainly plan to hunt with this bow come fall. It doesn't feel like a hair trigger at all. I'm guessing that with the 405 you would have about a 2lbs trigger. At 100 meters I'm ge...

Re: Excalibur Matrix Mega 405 .. My findings / thoughts so f

Hi5 ........... Ha yep been there already! I had one that nearly went south on me but luckily I noticed and guessed that the allen head screws being so shallow would cause me a problem so I took great care. The reason I removed the scope rail / gaurdian DFI was because when I accidentally dry fired ...

Re: Excalibur Matrix Mega 405 .. My findings / thoughts so f

Hi Boo, thanks for your input. At the moment I'm using the Diablo bolts that came with it, I've refletched with PlastiFlex Max PM 23's to reduce drag so I can get a little more range, they group as well as the 2" high profile vanes that they came with. Being a slightly lighter vane the FOC is o...

Excalibur Matrix Mega 405 .. My findings / thoughts so far

Hi again all. Well I've had my M405 for a few weeks now and thought I'd share my thoughts. As I explained in my hello thread I've had to switch from trad & compound due to injury. My first crossbow was the TP GT Flex, purchased to shoot NFAS field and for that it is great. We can't use cocking a...
