Re: hard case for exocet 200

flightattendabt100: Thanks for the size advice, I hadn't thought of that. Rudolph's suggestion of breakdown by removing limbs----- I have never taken the limbs off----but I gather that does not create problems in the accuracy ----- test shooting after assembly will nullify those concerns. hard case for exocet 200

Looking for sources for a hard case. Does Excalibur make one?
I have found Vanguard Saberlock X which looks to be a good case for air flight. To locate retail outlets in Canada --- southwestern Ontario ---- I have not.
Any comments or suggestions welcome regarding what is available.
Thanks

Re: Ground Blind

They are very good. They set up quickly, take down easily and offer room fro a crossbow and plenty of room for firearm.

Re: It's a sign....

Turkeys are strutting well. Was out last night until after dark to watch birds go to roost. They were roosting high in the trees last night, generally they roost on lower branches in the past but the weather was often colder. Just a thought, with the weather so warm will this affect the breeding sea...

Re: homemade Targets

I contacted a hardware store that repaired screen doors and windows and they agreed to save the old "FIBERGLASS" screening for me. I then packed this in the feed bag very tightly. It works well for field points but broadheads will cut it to shreds.

Adam: I am sure that the young are very good but I have used the adults prepared as outlined with great success----- more meat than the young.

Re: Trapping in ontario lots of pics dail up beware

Adam: Skin animal and gut as with any animal. Cut off all visible fat. To continue for cooking,(Parboil - 3 times at least))- put entire carcass in pot of water and bring to boil. Boil for 3- 5 minutes and empty water entirely. Do this using fresh water, boil and empty, a total of 3 times. This parb...

Thanks for sharing those "Great pictures."
Do you use the carcass for meat? Beaver are very good. My family enjoy it for tablefare. I prepare it in the same way as groundhog.
Good luck and keep up the good work ---- for work it is.

Re: HANG FROM THE HEAD NOT THE BACK LEG;S

As Duckhunt has stated I gut an animal at kill site.Only wash cavity in those cases when stomach/intestinal organs have been broken . Transport to hunt camp or home, whatever, and hang by back legs to skin. Skinning hot is a whole lot easier. Make sure windpipe etc are completely removed after remov...

Re: 2010 Turkey opener Ont?

Raymond: It is great to have a spring season. It gets the adrenalin flowing for the rest of the year. A fall season for turkey was brought in. I am hoping it is not the thin edge of the wedge to swing the whole turkey hunt to the fall. The fall hunt includes hens. When i suggested that there is a lo...

Re: My hunting room update

C.F. Excellent idea!!!! Very nice!!!!! I know it is taking space from your room/wall but a closet with clothes bar , drawers and/or small cabinet cupboard - all behind a bi-fold door or double door - would provide an out of sight location for clothes, boots, knives, rangefinders, compasses, GPS,archer...

Re: Turkey Hunting

I have always cooked the bird by stuffing with dressing and then roast in oven in the conventional domestic turkey way. As I have said I always removed that gel substance from the chest area and never ate it. So my inquiry was as to whether others did it in a similar way or if the gel could remain a...
