Thanks that was it. I wouldn't have thought I would need to turn the safety off in order to cock the bow. Is this how all Excal's are?8ptbuk wrote:Safety MUST be in the fire position . All the way up when cocking .

Yes it goes all the way back and makes a click noise where it should be locking but it doesnt lock and then it stops at the ADF silver latch.xcaliber wrote:Is the string going past the ADF?

Just tried shooting my xbow, need help now please
I just tried shooting my Excalibur eclipse for the first time. I appears to not be cocking correctly. It has the guardian anti dry fire system on it. When I go to cock it it doesn't latch all the way back and it only stops on the silver latch of the guardian system. I tried cocking it a few times an...

Does everyone use a rangefinder?
Does everyone use a rangefinder? I'm trying to decide whether buying one is necessary for sighting in my bow/hunting.
Any rangefinders you would recommend? Looking to spend less than $100, I've found a few on eBay used in this range.

Truglo (red dot) scope question
I recently purchased a Truglo red dot scope for my Excal Eclipse. While looking through the scope I can see what looks to be a reflection of the lens that the light comes out of. Depending on the lighting this creates lines in my field of view while I am trying to shoot. It seems that sometimes the ...

Broadhead practice/advice for hunting
So I have an Excal Eclipse XT set up with a red dot sight. I just purchased a Big Green Target for use with field points only. I have some 100 grain field points and Carbon Express Blue streak arrows. It's my understanding that most hunters sight in their scope for field points and then have to re-s...

Re: Looking for a scope, maybe a red dot, advice please
I will be using it mainly for hunting. I would like to shoot up to 50 yards if possible but I understand this is difficult in the woods. I may be hunting on the edge of a field so that would give me a clear shot at least, if I did want to extend my range.

Looking for a scope, maybe a red dot, advice please
I recently purchased an Excalibur Eclipse XT that came with a bunch of upgrades including the twilight DLX scope. I've been messing around with it a bit but I think it might be too much scope for me. It feels like a rifle scope and I think I would be happier with a simpler scope, maybe a red dot. An...
