Re: Vibration dampening
I have the Brake Pads (not Air Brakes) on my Micro and Matrix. They definitely make my bows quieter. Far from silent but not as sharp a report.

Re: Deer and tomatoes
Try Irish Spring soap just lay slices of it around the garden or put out handfuls of human hair or mothballs. These items work in my cemetery for awhile then you reapply.

Re: Extra stings for Micro 335 and silencers
I don't use string silencers but I do glue a piece of felt or a soft velcro pad where the string touches the limbs;seems to quiet them down some. I just ordered some new Excal. brake pads (not air brakes) to try out. The quieter my bow the better I like it. I know it does not matter much to the deer.

NY to Boofest
Hey I was just wondering if anyone from western NYS is planning on going to Boofest? Due to my narcoleptic driving habits my lovely wife doesn't want me going to Boofest but I would be willing to pay for gas or use my minivan for the trip if someone else does the driving for me.

Boofest questions
Okay I have a few questions regarding Boofest. Does everyone camp at the fest or go to motels? Any stores or restaurants in the area or should you bring all your provisions with you? Will the Border Patrol laugh at me when I tell them I'm "goin to Boofest" to enter Canada?

Re: swapped limbs today.
I have the same bows and its been hard trying to decide which way to configure them. I only want to keep one as a back-up to my Micro. Oh well, I guess I will have to do more shooting. What a chore, LOL.

Re: micro nightmare/matrix blackout finish
I'm planning on adapting a black laminated wood stock to fit my Micro because I don't like my hunting gear to have a para-military look.

Re: XBow Limbs Change with Repeated Shooting
Check the brace height of your string. They can stretch quite a bit for a long time and need to be tightened as needed to maintain accuracy.

Re: Popular mods? and trigger question
On my bows I always install string stops and limb pads, wrap the stirrup in mastic and hockey tape, put heat shrink tubing on the arrow retention spring and finally I put a small piece rubber between the stirrup and bow frame. I do all this to tame the noise and vibration of these powerful shooting ...

Re: Popular mods? and trigger question
Yes there is some over-travel so it hits the stock when you follow through pulling the trigger. Not ideal for accuracy but perfectly normal.

Re: Compound xbow brand
I have owned a Horton , 2 Barnetts, and a Tenpoint after I got my first Excal. I said goodbye to all those inferior bows. But if I had to buy a compound Xbow I would look at CamX. They only make one model and I have never heard anything bad about the bow or the guy who builds them. Made for hunters b...
