Re: want to buy one real bad.
Another good and cheaper option would be the new Grizzly model.

Re: plese delete
There should be a forum heading just for deleted posts to put an end to that nagging 3AM question of "what did I miss; that post must have been a doozy" ; or maybe not ,the mystery of it all might be better.

Re: Excalibur vixen cocking
I always hear folks say to put your right foot in the stirrup but for some reason it feels easier using my left foot. I'm right-handed but do some things better lefty style so you might try it too with one smooth push up with your legs into a final little tug with your upper body.

Re: Matrix Grizzly on its way.
Hey Congrats on the new bow!! Where did you buy your Grizzly? I am looking to get a Cub, maybe. One more piece of advice: Watch where your fingers are at all times with a cocked bow. That bowstring can do lot of damage in a blink of an eye. Welcome to the Excalibur clan and have fun.

Re: Excalibur Matrix Grizzly
Yeah I know the waiting is hard. I want to get a Cub to play with. I heard some time in March. So you will still have plenty of time to practice before deer season.

Re: New to the forum
Hey welcome to the Excalibur clan. Yes you can use that size arrow. Most of us like to have an arrow length that puts the broadhead within the stirrup area. It helps keep the arrow and you from unintended contact. I myself use arrows of 4 different lengths with my collection of bows. Have fun, keep ...

Re: Matrix VS. Micro Stock
Yes it seems that way to me; the Micro Nightmare stock feels more solid than my other Excal. stocks. I wonder if the new Cub and Grizzly feel similar. I would prefer a non- skeletonized stock.

If it was just slightly off I would file down the base to fit to maintain the lowest scope mounting possible.

Re: APEX for tall, long armed guy - target only
I would look at the new Cub or Grizzly models for just target shooting. Big enough to shoot comfortably but in a more compact size with enough power for long distance shots you might want to make.

Another option to consider is the new Grizzly model .Nice and light but with plenty of power. This would be my choice for a first crossbow.

Re: Worth of crossbow
I just sold a bare bow Vortex in excellent shape for $400. A few years ago $600 would have been the price. But Excalibur crossbows hold their value better than any other used archery except custom handmade bows.

Just like the Matrix 310 and 330, same bow but different risers.

You need to get 2 one for you and one for your better half. Besides you sold off a quite a few bows as of late so now you have room for more.

Re: A Mini Micro 305
I really like that idea and would do it if I could afford another Micro right now. But it will have will wait for another day. I just did the math: 270 lb. draw weight divided by 12.75 inches (total rail length) gives you aprox. 21.2 lbs per inch. So if you shorten the rail by an inch you will be at...
