Re: Pulled the trigger!!
Welcome to to the tribe. Be sure to get a bow stringer to keep your brace height adjusted properly. And keep your fingers safe when shooting.

Re: Micro 335 and airbrakes
I prefer the Brake Pads, they add no weight to the bow but do soften the shot.

Re: Cub
Sounds like you are doubling the weight and the price of that bow, not what I would want to do. But if that is your dream rig then go for it. Everyone has their own idea of the perfect gun, bow , rod , canoe , etc.

Re: Vortex vs Grizzly
Okay I am going against the grain here. I prefer the Grizzly for hunting. If you do not mind the looks of the SMF rail you get a bow a full 6 inches narrower, almost a pound lighter and 4 inches shorter than a Vortex. Plus a much shorter draw length makes it easier to cock. I had a Vortex, a great b...

Re: Black vs. Camo
The black ones have a nice grippy texture to the whole stock; the camo. finish is smooth.

Re: grizzly and R.E.D.S
Try putting the Excal Brake Pads on your bow. Virtually weightless with loss in speed and they do work. But I also recommend using the REDS.

Re: After so many years...
I like to disassemble my bows and put them into a softsided double tactical rifle case. Makes for easy transport or storage. When they are bolted back together I still have single-hole accuracy.

Re: Break pads
I use them and think they work better than the Air Brakes for vibration and noise reduction. You might have to put a good strong glue on them ; the factory adhesive has been known to fail.

Re: Rechargeable Hand Warmers
This year I'm going to carry Thermacare body wraps. I have a quarter mile uphill hike to my stand so once I cool down and start feeling the cold I can open one up and they stay hot all day long.

Re: Grizzly/micro/scope advice needed
If you want more speed upgrade to a 355 ,more speed than the Micro with less cocking effort and cheaper. But if money is tight then upgrade the scope first.

Re: Air Break ?
I prefer the Brake Pads. Way lighter and cheaper plus they do work. Both my bows are quieter with Brake pads installed.
