Only two now.

Well, I played around with some compound crossbows and they were fun.but have now gone back to just Excalibur. I just prefer the recurve look, feel and shooting experience. And in a goal to simplify I now own only two of them( had seven at one time). Matrix 330 and Mag 340 both I can cock without a ...

Metal vs SMF

I 'm sure this has been asked before but what is the weight difference in aluminum versus SMF rails of the same length? Is one heavier or not?

Re: Replacing limbs??

I would heat up each bolt before trying to remove them. They are installed very, very tight and you might strip out the allen head or your wrench end. Use a long wrench for more leverage.

Not a good day

So I went out for some target shooting to try out a 1x scope and new Baby Bumpers on my Matrix 330. Shooting a few different bag targets I made I stripped fletchings off an arrow. Then I dry fired the bow ; the string jumped over the bumpers and tore a limb tip off. I have dry fired before without b...

Re: AXE on sale at EastHill's

I try to power through with my legs but sometimes it is a two step pull; first to the anti-dry fire then a second little tug to the latches. Of the dozen Excals I have owned the Axe is my favorite.

Axe brace height

I bought this used Axe. Did not need it. Own a bunch of bows. but I love it. Probably be my "go to bow" in the fall. I have no owners manual so was wondering what is the recommended brace height. I am slightly off the bumpers but I want to know the actual measurement should be from the riser/rail jo...

Blackheart cocking device

Just picked up a Blackheart Bypass cocking rope to use with my new Axe (btw my new favorite) and it is a neat 4 pulley design idea but I found it more of a hassle than a help. It made the draw lighter but much longer. Using the regular cocking rope was much better. So back it goes to Amazon.

Re: Re Dot sights

Thanks for the recommendation. Do you use the CVA handgun for deer hunting? I use a TC Contender carbine but might want to try handgun hunting. And I know that the CVA costs less than another Contender barrel.

Re Dot sights

So in trying to have the lightest bow possible I am looking for a decent red dot sight. I want one with a choice of reticle ( not just a single dot or three dots lined up) that would sit low on the scope rail for a low line of sight. And I can't spend a lot of money (under $200) Any recommendations ...

Air brakes

So I now have an Axe that came with Air Brakes installed.
I like my bows as light and simple as possible so should I remove them or do they serve a useful purpose? Do they help protect the limbs from breaking or just noise reduction? What say you?

Re: Axe 340

Could not resist I bought it on Ebay. Now I have 6 xbows. Three of them Excaliburs. Had a Micro 335 before and sold it now glad to have another micro.

Re: Axe 340

Why are you selling it, was a lot harder than your 308 Short to cock? I have a Matrix 310 which is so easy to cock but want to try a Micro.

Stock question

Just wondering if anyone knows for sure if the stock of a GRZ2 would fit on a Matrix 310 frame or not. Customer Service said no but I think they don't like the idea of us swapping around parts between models.
