Re: checked out the matrix 355 keeping the Emax
I here ya. I have an Exomax. Great bow. I was looking at switching for a Matrix 355 or the Micro 335. Where I hunt from, the size of the bow is no real issue. I use 2219 aluminum arrows with the 150 grain bolt cutters my speed is reduced to just over 300 fps. But three shots, three pass through, and...

Re: Can't get in the mood to hunt this year
Just come to Canada and we can give you an old fashion case of Canadian Kick Ass. lol. I get like that too with things I enjoy. Sometimes life gets in the way or we get over tired. Sometimes I make excuses to not do the things I like, Then my wife shoves me out the door. Once I get going, I always h...

Re: Don't stop shooting!!
Love my Exomax as well. I do not get to go shooting as much as I like, but I do get it out a few times a year. I am a left handed shooter. But I also practice shooting right handed. That paid off. The first time that I shot dear was this year. Was also with a crossbow, and the first 2 dear were righ...

Re: Started Keeping a Little black Book!
Ya, I here ya, I was a funeral director for over 30 years. Just retired from it this past July. We always say "call before you dig", "any day above ground is a good day". Now I can hunt without fear of having to leave because there has been a death. Having a hard time getting use...

Simple works.
Using a long limb Exomax, Easton 2219 aluminum arrows, 150 grain bolt cutters, stock bow string, even stock varizone scope. This thing truly does what is needed. Even my wife says that with this performance, there is no way that I need a Matrix or Micro. Crap. Oh well, I always kind of was old schoo...

Re: IBEX SMF ---- sweet bow!
I hear ya. Being new to this world of crossbows and deer hunting, I bought a used Exomax last September. Wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I've got the bug. The Matrix series of bows are catching my attention. They are easier to balance than the longer slightly heavier Exomax. The stands that I...

Re: Which Excalibur to buy?
My exomax is a great bow. I use the stock string 2219 aluminum bolts and bolt cutters. Got my deer on opening day. Straight pass through. Accurate as hell. Even cocked it sitting in a tree stand. I am only 5'5" tall.

Exceptional Service
Took Boomer's 380 to Excalibur this morning. Excalibur had replaced the limbs in less than 20 minutes. Heck, they even took the time to show me some history of their earlier bows, right back to their first one. I have seen a degeneration in service from many companies in the past number of years. Th...

Re: 405 vs. Thumb - the story - no pics
I caught my thumb in my Exomax last year, Didn't break the skin. But oh man did it hurt. Can't imagine your's though. I was warned about the Triangle of Hurt, but still had to try it for myself (by accident). Now every time I go to fire the thing, I check my hand placement. Hope you have a speady re...

Re: Tact zone scope
My Exomax has the stock Varizone scope. The crossbow is about four years old now, I so far have no issues with it. However, I can see the advantage of the lighted cross hairs when the light is low.
