Re: Gas Attack at Home Depot
I found it humorous . I guess some just have no sense of humor . Thank you!!----------humor is always a good and welcome thing Since stuff like this is encouraged on this Crossbow Hunting site now, then please feel free to brighten everyone's day by posting any jokes or funny topics that have...

Re: Gas Attack at Home Depot
Decided to bring this back for a morning chuckle . :) Really? This type of nonsense just encourages the type of stuff that you would be deleting if it was from someone else. Why is this on the Crossbow Hunting site. Maybe we should set up a humor site (probably not, if this is what passes as humor)...

Re: BRUSH OR SPRING ARROW RETAINER?
Could care less about price. With regards to the concept - brush vs. spring; I liked the idea and the functionality of the brush when I first test fired a Barnett ( not sure which model) last spring.

Re: Recurves - How Small, How Light and How Fast?
One of my first vertical bows was an Onieda many years ago. The engineering was amazing, the durability was not. After the top limb blew up (flew off and down held only by the internal cable) on me when target practicing, I switched to more conventional and relatively more reliable vertical compound...

Re: accessories
X3 Me as well, use just the baby bumpers. Concentrating so much; I don't hear a thing when I shoot at a deer, and the deer are close enough that it makes no difference.

Re: Off season
Yes Hang it up for the off season. Figure that it's easy to do and can't hurt, so why not. Easy to put back on when I need to. I love my crossbow for hunting, otherwise it is like a tool for me such as a hammer to be put away until time to use again. I have too many other things that I do during the...

Re: C2 crank
The C2 crank is super easy to use.; also comes in handy with string adjustment aid when adjusting brace height. Anyone that has back or shoulder issues should be using a C2. It may add 30 seconds for each shot. How much time does it take to go to a doctor or to do rehab if your back is screwed up? I...

Re: New Ex-Shield Case
Seems a little less protective, that is, more flimsy than the soft case that I bought a few years ago. That was an Excalibur case designed specifically for the Matrix Xbow. The price that I paid for my case (purchased from Wyverns) was also much lower.

Re: Dr Stirrup
Sage advice. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Your health is worth a lot more than the cost of the C2. Once your back or shoulders are messed up it will linger with you the rest of your life. If you are straining just the slightest bit to pull your string up, it is only a matter of t...

Re: Micro 355 broadhead suggestions?????
I am a fan of slick trick 1" 100 grain or the carbon express 1" 100 grain quad pro. The slick tricks can be used over again by replacing the blades. Each will fly true and go through any deer if you hit them right. You cannot beat the price on Carbon Express broad heads as stated earlier, ...

Why not just get a C2 crank?

Re: Deer Drives
We attempted to do drives many years ago. Thankfully, we have not tried any for a long time. I'm not intending to ever be involved again. The problem with our drives was that some of our drivers could not walk in a straight line and eventually would crisscross in front of each other. Another friend ...

Re: Just got robbed ! Please keep an eye out for stuff !
Hope they catch who did it and you get your stuff back. In any event, the idiot(s) that did this really set you back in so many ways. A number of years ago we had 3 ATVs stolen from our camp. The state police knew who did it but didn't do anything as the family was involved in a drug ring with about...

Re: scope rings
I have an XB30 scope and am very happy with the Vortex Viper scope rings, the 30mm low; part # VPR - 30L. I prefer the lowest scope mount position I can get on all my rifles as well as my Xbow. That way I can keep my head tight to the stock when shooting; never been a fan of cheek pieces to elevate ...

Re: The Rush of Close Encounters ...
Thanks for posting. I spent gun and m/l season in NY taking pictures and videos of does and small deer. Neat to have them so close. Makes you take for granted after they are there for a while milling around, how special it is. A day without seeing anything, brings back reality and how unique it is t...
