You don't have to use the Optimizer. Set up your scope on the Optimizer making sure your 20yards is bang on. Set your variable power (speed dial ) to set all the hash marks on the scope. If you use a multi reticle scope with the optimizer set at 20 yds and are in a hurry to shoot are the reticles still accurate or must you still use the optimizer dial?

1.1 inch groups at 50 yds with any hunting xbow out of the box, esp one that is so compact, is a screaming endorsement to me. I don't think anyone would expect better groups than the 380 or 405 anyhow,

I really appreciate my micro when I am in a cramped blind....less likely to have the limbs bump into something and spook the deer.

I found a website which has a calculator to tell you how much perceived increase "LOUDNESS" from any increase in dB.

a 3 dB increase is perceived as 1.232 times louder which is probably barely perceptible to us.
